Rayman Legends confirmed for Vita [Up: Official, Gets Exclusive Content]

I was a bit mad about this going multiplatform because I was kind of looking forward to a game to justify my rather silly Wii U purchase and Rayman Legends was going to be it. Plus the delay and all that.

Now I'm not mad because it's coming to Vita, which is the version I'm getting now. Sorry Nintendo.

Will pick up on a sale or after a price drop. As cool as this is, the true fun of Origins/Legends for me is experiencing it with a group of friends, and I'm literally the only one in my circle of friends who owns a Vita.

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.
Good news for Vita owners.

The Wii U free app is amazing btw.

Nice! I loved Origins on the Vita, though I'll likely be getting Legends on the Wii U.
(My first post on GAF! :) )

Wait, so does it have the same multiplayer as the console versions or something different? I'm a bit confused about the wording.

Also, knew it had to happen eventually! Getting it on Vita for sure.

This is great news for Vita owners. The Rayman Legends Challenge app on Wii U is a blast. I'll pick up the Wii U version just because I can play cooperatively with my wife and it's one of the few games she really enjoys.

Good news for Vita owners. I heard that version was great. I'll still be picking it up on Wii U though since I don't own a Vita ... yet.

Hmm... problem with this is the Murfy co-op. Tempting to get it on Vita especially because it'll be cheaper than the console versions, but I'll probably still go with Wii U for the 2-player.

edit: oh wait, Vita has online co-op? o.o Hmm, still leaning towards Wii U 'cause I'd rather have local, and none of my friends have Vitas.

Still waiting for tangible proof. All I can see so far is a bunch of obscure spanish sites sourcing each other, and a press release (from Madrid?) posted on GAF by a random guy without any external source.

Meanwhile the official site for the game still doesn't mention the Vita anywhere.

Also very suspicious is announcing the Vita port *before* the 3DS port.

Definitely looks like a hoax.

I definitely hope I'm wrong though.

It's already mentioned earlier. We have the official press release from Ubi. It's confirmed

Are you kidding me?? All we have is somebody pasted what appears to be a real press release on neogaf. Until that press release can be read on an official Ubisoft website we can only assume it is fake.

Again I'm not trying to troll, I genuinely want Rayman Legends on my Vita, I'm just not seeing any tangible proof.

Just google it if it's so hard for you to trust. Plenty of news outlets are breaking the news now

I don't think we'll get a 3DS version. Origins was quite a bit less graphically intensive than this one and Origins was terrible on 3DS. Low resolution makes it hard to make out the details and it's 30fps. This has the shaders and the 3D stuff so yeah.

Yup, based on the demo, Rayman Origins 3DS was a horrible port. Can't imagine Legends working well on 3DS either if that gets a port.

I played the first few levels of the Vita version of Origins and it was incredible. When I get my Vita I need to get both Origins and Legends.

Any word on cross-buy? I'd rather pay 50 euros for the PS3+Vita version than 30 euros for just the Vita :p Wouldn't want to spend 70+ euros for a single 2D platformer, however :p

Still not seeing any official Ubisoft source confirming this directly. Any news site cannot be trusted, they may well be copy-pasting a hoax from each other, they are idiots. Also notice that any of the "large" game news outlets have yet to report on this, all I see is random shit sites nobody cares about.

Lord Error

Insane For Sony
I seriously liked playing Origins on Vita best, and I have it on PS3 and on PC. It looked and played damn perfect if such thing is possible. No ghosting whatsoever, fantastic dpad...
Just compare with ghosting you get on ipad rayman game, it's like night and day.

It's no coincidence that this was announced the day after I bought a replacement Vita for the one that had been stolen from me.

You're welcome guys.

Good news for Vita owners. Enjoy it, guys!
