So much arrogance. They are setting their fans up for disappointment by setting expectations way too high.
Those 15 MS-published games better be AAAmazing.
How long can MS sustain the money hat business model, especially if the PS4 launches to impressive sales? At some point these third parties who were formerly multiplatform are gonna say "Fuck that, gimme some of those PS4 sales!"
Yeah because FF is at it's peak isn't it ..., it wouldn't do anywhere near that these days, the quality has damaged the brand too much.
Didn't Fallout 3 do about 5m in it's first 3 months??
Do we know that?
"invest" is a very broad statement...
Final Fantasy isn't a system swaying franchise anymore , in fact I'd argue that most RPG lovers will already buy a ps4.If FF (that is, mainline FF) is not "huge", then the only "huge" third party franchises are CoD and GTA. That's a very limited definition.

Sure it ain't. An exclusive that could sell 6-8 million is definitely not big lmao. Oh and FF is bigger than Fallout.
FF at its peak did 9-10 million bro. FF13 did 6.6 million. I can easily see a well received FF surpassing that.
Fallout 3 shipped 5 million.
Fallout 3 sold 1.6 million in NPD meanwhile FF13 sold 1.3 million in its NPD. Thats where Fallout sells the best and it only managed to outsell FF by 300k. To put things into perspective FF13 sold 1.7 million in Japan in one week.
If your idea of "huge" third party franchises is so restrictive as to only allow 5 entries, then yes, FF is not "huge".I think PS4 will beat One and I think it'll have far better games that help it do that than FF, can you not hack someone saying FF isn't huge anymore?
FF currently isn't as huge as it was, but a new mainline entry with good quality and marketing has the ability to sell 6m copies easily. That's not Elder Scrolls big, but not bad either.Get over yourself and check what thread you're in, the only people that have an agenda are Sony fans littering One threads.

I gave you two examples and you can't even dispute it.

Not this generation it hasn't been, Fallout 3 has sold over 8m, FF13 over 7m. Fallout New Vegas over 7m, FF13-2 over 3m. Sales for Fallout on current generation consoles have outsold Final Fantasy by a few million, FF this generation across multiple consoles has barely kept up with Final Fantasy on one console last generation.
FF still gets a great number of sales, but it doesn't have the pulling power it used to, long development times along with just generally being considered to be sub-par titles hasn't helped the franchise.
If FF14 sells 4m in the west I'll say it's a huge deal for PS4, I don't see it getting back to that 6m+ range though.
Skyrim improved on Scrolls enormously, unlike FF which has just kept dropping this past gen (in sales and quality). You don't envisage a scenario, not unlikely that the same can be done for Fallout?
I mean, I don't think it's gonna be exclusive anyway.

Calling it still like I called it before.
Exclusives out the ass.
Their focus isn't on "what can we create for our customers"
it's "what can we take away from the competition's customers"
It worked like a charm for them on 360, and it will work again. Expect insanity. Sony will be outgunned in terms of games, pure and simple.
This better not mean MS have exclusive rights to a next-gen version of GTA V!!!

Microsoft can kill Sony at e3 however they want, my only concern is the long time commitment to the console. Given their history, they might spend 1b for games and money hat and such for the first 2 years, will they continue to give us varied tittle throughout the whole console cycle?
Wow your posts in MS threads are funny, so much delusion. FF isn't huge and certainly not the biggest exclusive any of the big 3 could get if they wanted.
Not sure where the Fallout 4 rumours are coming from, don't think they'll be true, if they are that'd be huge.

They'll be Viva Pinata and Kinect Sports god tier. Get ready to be blown
Funny how you, someone who started a thread about how ps3 still hadn't surpassed 360 a few months ago (because idc numbers weren't correct and whatnot), go around making quotes like "Hasn't FF always been exclusive to PS in Japan, where it does the bulk of sales??".
I figured someone like you would at least look these numbers up.

That's why Sony is co-developing. At least that is what the rumours are telling us. If they do that and drop their shitty writer, FF can easily go back to quality.IMO the current Square can't make a decent FF though. They're more likely to make another disappointing game in the series.

Why do I get Sony PS3 levels of arrogance vibe from MS recently?

Combined? What are you smoking hahaIf they plan to spend $1 billion to get exclusive titles then they can back up what they are claiming. With $1 billion, you can ensure the vast majority of huge, big, and medium 3rd party titles are exclusive. From COD to Battlefield to GTA/RDR to Fallout/ElderScroll to MGS to FF and so on. I feel fairly confident that with $1 billion you can get all of the above, and more, exclusive to your machine.
