Gamestop's date was bumped up to the 9th. As I expected, they are just bumping it up to the next Tuesday until they get it.

son of a bitch
My Amazon order has delivery set for August 6th still. Keep hoping it will change.
Im going to just break down and order it from TFAW...but man 15 bucks shipping is kinda alot.
It seems a lot, but it is pretty heavy, so it doesn't surprise me.
They charged me $36 to ship it to NZ.
Amazon are only charging $15 to ship two copies here, but I bet they underestimated and will have to bear the extra cost.
That is, if they even ship them out.
Looking at the order info 6 lbs. does sound like it would take a little bit. Im in.
No e-mail for me. Order page still say 6th August. If I call customer services they'll tell me it comes out then as the product page says that. Sounds like a rerun of the last time...Just had an email from Amazon (UK), the release date has been brought forwards and my copy has been sent out today! yay
Why would it go in-stock before they dispatch everyones pre-orders. Grr...Amazon.uk went from In-Stock to "Usually ships in 9-11 days". Not good. And North American retailers have no clue about it.
I thought books were zero rated for VAT. In any case Amazon.com didn't do the tax estimate, pre-pay (and avoid post office charging £8 handling fee) thing is does for taxable items.I'll avoid potential tax incursion and get the book(s) immediately.
Sounds like what they did last time. People that got it Day 1 got the LE but people with pre-orders were shafted. I was the same as you now with orders in January cancelled the UK one to avoid ending up with dupes. Fingers crossed they get copies on .com soon. Why would it go in-stock before they dispatch everyones pre-orders. Grr...

Amazon is 10 dolars less than Book Depository.
Anyone knows if a 600 hardcover book needs less than 10 dollars to ship to south america ? =P
edit : lol at AmanoBuff
Wish I could join you. I just can't afford to pay over 100$ right now especially with the Fall semester coming up. I'm left with my order on Amazon.
I really, really hope things don't go how I fear they will...
The $100 shipping I mention is the minimum amount people on eBay charges for the Limited Edition Boxed version. Perhaps Amazon or other online retailers have more reasonable prices, but I doubt it, since this is a really heavy set.
And nope, you won't find a shipping cost below $10 no matter where it is sent from. If anything, you should pay for the most secure shipping option to protect this beauty. Especially if it will travel half across the globe.

son of a bitch
dunno about you, i received my reprint like last week from book depository
oh and well book depository shipped me a boxed edition, though it's not the old limited edition boxed..
Anyone have a picture of the new packaging?
I'm not opening mine until I get a reading copy (or until it's clear I won't be getting a second copy for reading), but it is pretty much a big box like the first print.
Edit: And yes it's all nice and fabric-y too like the original!
But it is a big slipcase right? Or when you say box it actually means a box that opens up?
I would very much appreciate some pics when you open it!
Yeh that does sound familiar. I think what happened was the release was set for a particular date, then they inexplicably shipped some out early, then that was actually all they had, so anyone who didn't get it early, didn't actually get it at all.
So by the time the release date actually came, they were all gone.
That's exactly what I'm worried about happening here.
Dark Horse's silence isn't helping either.
@ photos
I have to give Dark Horse credit for not going cheap, that is a gorgeous slipcase. Too bad I'll likely never have it ;-;
That is one ugly cover
This set clearly isn't for you.
I've found Amano's art to quite polarizing at times, it seems like some either love it or hate it.
Considering this artbook is praticaly only amano art .... he is right =P
Now to just hope usps doesnt dent up my order.
Well I'm not sure since I haven't opened it, hehe. But it is a slipcase I guess. I think when I heard slipcase I thought it'd be a thin cardboard cover with an opening at one side, but this is all closed in and is a few mm thick. Here's another shot of the top so you could see how it might open (and how thick it is).

Go on Peagles do it! Open it up. You know you want to.

GAME is £65 instore, £55 online (there is a 10% off £50 code that might work for a few more days...).Do you live in the UK? If you do, amazon.uk marketplace has a few sellers with it at the same price Amazon.uk itself was selling. You can go for that. It looks like GAME has it too.
One of the descriptions about the slipcases I read mentions how the cover is closed like one of those magnet based locks.

In that sense of other places having stock I'll be patient with Amazon. Last time I found out about the limited nature it was too late to really act but here it seems like quite a few more retailers have stock. Plus how Hyrule Historia has had reprints gives me (possibly false) hope.
