From gamescom i want to see either 64gb memory cards or 128gb
Memory card price cuts
A few AAA games
Indies (at the bottom of my list)

If gamescom doesnt show anything worthwhile i may even give my vita to my brother to take to unversity, and claim it back maybe 2 years from now if we have some really awesome titles by then, not interested in offscreen ps4 play as this is my travelling console)

Many of you may have already known this, but I only found out yesterday that vita saves can automatically sync with PS+. I seriously didn't know, lol. Here are instructions in case anyone else is as clueless as I was:

  1. Launch Content Manager App.
  2. Click on Online Storage.
  3. Click on Vita to Online Storage.
  4. Click on "i" button next to game.
  5. Click on Upload Automatically Checkbox.
  6. Go back to game list and you should see a green arrow pointing up next to the "i" button to confirm that it's set to automatically upload new saves.

Don't really care about price drops in cards or bigger sizes. I'm happy with the price I paid for my 32 GB

I want to see Ultra Street Fighter announced for the vita.

That would make everything alright.

Barring that, a date set for the Binding of Isaac

if they mean that BoM bombed and so there is no point of Vita ports then that a shitty excuse, because most of their games don't really sell anywhere so by this logic they need to just stop working I guess.

but to be fair, most of the time it's not their call since it's up to the publisher, however for the games that they own the rights for (Shantae, Mighty Switch..ect) it's a lame excuse since BoM is completely different.

Well, if BoM is as "fun" as their other games we are better off without them. They make great looking games but oh so boring imo.

ZoE Vita update at TGS would be amazing.

Dream (unrealistic) List:
New Vita Model With
- Similar design but allowing for a PSP UMD add on
- Inbuilt Hard Drive
- HDMI out
- Increased Battery
- Micro SD support
- A little more CPU, locked from devs, only for PS2 classics emulation

Firmware Changes
- Allow to run multiple PSNs from different regions simultaneously
- Increase the list of PS3 games remotely playable
- Over-ride any need for online passes

(ha, haha. Yeah none of this is happening)

But I'll take a 64GB/128GB card and any sort of new Vita model. Some interesting AAA titles also a plus.

Charged attacks definitely do more damage than the base (non-charged) attacks, but I thought he was asking or not it made a difference if he used a charged attack first or last in a combo.

Ah, ok.
Well, in theory, if you know about how many full combos you can do with it, the max damage output is to do n-1 combos then do the charge attack. :)

Vita needs more exclusives, no matter how big(well bigger is better obviously lol), multis are
ok too but no more (very late)ports!
Sony don't waste money with gow, flower and dead nation ports and make instead a single but good gow/dead nation/something else sequel/spinoff/new ip!

For gamescom i hope for some exclusives, price cuts for consoles and memories, (huge)psm improvements and maybe something more.

I'm not sure a brand new Dead Nation (with all the costs involved) sells more than a Dead Nation port - especially enough to warrant the investment.

Just give me the PS2 Shin Megami games as ports.

know whatd be nice, if i could see play history with my friends...or at least some way to keep track of what PSN friends I play what games with.

Its hard to keep track if you get together infrequently. out of my 100 i dont know who likes to play silent hill or hsg, etc

For Gamescom, I'm expecting a Killzone Vita bundle, a Remote Play demonstration, Sly Collection, one or two new Sony games, and possibly a price cut and one new third-party game.

refresh my memory someone - whats happened in years past gamescoms?

Last year they announced Cross Buy, PS+ for Vita, Killzone Mercenary (we had heard from the Vita reveal there would be a Killzone but we knew nothing about it, Tearaway, LBP 2 Cross-controller demonstration, I think first trailer for CoD BO Declassified, and a couple of other things.

If a new dead nation won't sell well then why a port should sell better?
A sequel is not necessarily expensive, developers could just reuse the assets of dn to make new levels, they have only to add something new(a new zombie, a new weapon and some new decorative objects for the levels) and the result is a new game for cheap.

Just give me the PS2 Shin Megami games as ports.

Why don't you dream larger and ask for a shin megami exclusive game that is as good as the ps2 ones? :p

Vita doesn't have the install base for Sony to spend money on GoW Vita when they can just have an intern port the HD collection to the bluepoint engine and divert the real resources to GoW for PS4.

And exclusives like Gravity Rush aren't really the fabled "system seller" either (not that I think there is such a thing other than a very good library and great hardware, but that's a different story). New IPs just won't cut it. There's not enough exposure and to have people want to buy a $250 system + memory card + game? Nobody is going to pay $290+ to just play a new IP.

The best thing for the system, most likely at this point, would be Uncharted Vita 2 with co-op and multiplayer. Uncharted 2, I believe (as much as I hate the game), was a huge factor in turning the PS3 around -- giving people an Uncharted 2 type experience on a portable would do a lot to sell more units.

I do however agree with your sentiments about how we don't need REALLY old ports. I'm a sucker, so if I get a good deal, I'll buy the GoW games again (I know, it's a sickness), but I won't touch Flower (no matter how much I loved the PS3 game) and I probably won't touch Dead Nation unless it's cross-buy so I get it for free.

That all said, I bought the Vita because I wanted quality ports of my favorite console games on a system I could play anytime and anywhere. So depending on the port, I might be ecstatic that it's being put on Vita... I wish Capcom would port their Iron Galaxy HD ports, for instance. Also, as Esoteric said -- Ultra SFIV... but only if it has cross-play.

Last year was Tearaway, Killzone, COD gameplay, PS+ and probably stuff I'm forgetting.

thanks guys! - only got my vita on black friday last year.

so there is potential for some big reveals. this pleases me. expectations are set a little higher now.

Been reading WayForward's twitter account. Whenever someone asks why this game or that game has no Vita port, they ALWAYS reply "no but hey we made that Silent Hill game, you should check it out!"

What a bunch of jerks.

Lol at developers that think its our fault their shitty game doesn't sell.

1)An exclusive like gravity rush maybe is not a system seller alone, but having many exclusives is a selling point itself.
2)uncharted vita 2 would be an exclusive so we are together i guess
3)Here we are almost together again, if they give me dead nation for free then ok(sorry but i don't want gow1 even if free), but even then what will they earn with it? Some money loss.
For 3 late ports sony needs to pay 3 studios(and 3 times other costs), a single new game means giving more money to a single studio, it could be even cheaper than 3 studios making 3 late ports, the other 2 studios could work on something different on whatever the platform and for sure it would be better for vita and for us.

I think my point with 1 was that you definitely need games of type discussed in 2 for moving actual units. Uncharted Vita with the multiplayer the series is known for? That's what Call of Duty Vita was supposed to do... they just rushed development and banked on selling because of the brand (I can't comment on that game personally... I hear it's either acceptable or terrible...).

And agree with you again -- it's stupid to pay for a game to be ported when it's not going to sell. Now if instead of porting Flower, which nobody asked for, they ported Journey, I'm sure it'd do well and actually be worth the investment (whether I think the game is good or not... :lol).

My expectations for Gamescom are very moderate. Vita price cut, 64GB cards and overall memory card price revision.

On the software side, I don't want to be disappointed, so I'm expecting an E3-level showing (which was practically nothing, so anything good that shows up will be a gain for me).

If for some miracle they finally announce Type-0 Vita though...

=============

I can't believe how much I am enjoying Sound Shapes. I'll never forgive myself for completely skipping this game until now. Great design, gorgeous music and very tight platforming.

Besides the default albums though, are there any more to buy? I only saw a few packs on the store but no more than 7 or 8 I believe.

Oh, could us guys in Europe get the niconico app, please?

Personally, the app I want the most is Crunchyroll, thankfully it has already been announced, but they ARE taking their sweet time with it.

Which is exactly what happened. Despite the game being terrible it still sold very well. Wouldn't be surprised if it was the best selling Vita game last year. Imagine how well it would have done if the game was actually good.

If the game would have been good it would have actually sold systems.

What a bunch of jerks.

Yep, bunch of jerks. BoM is somewhat fun and competent but has zero love onto it. They are also highly skewed toward nintendo platforms.

Game is absolutely amazing. I just wish there were more official albums. Just go to the user-created section and you'll find Milkcrates, which are user-created levels curated by the dev team with a specific theme. There are some real gems there.

I don't know about jerks, but it IS extremely odd that they seem to have no interest in Vita, yet they're happy to support the Wii U, and the 3DS even when it was doing poorly. Vita games sell. Vita owners have an average of 10 games. They don't really have a good excuse not to bring it over.

It's the same deal with Game and they are in fact cheaper for £35 cards, I was just making a general statement. I actually tried to use ShopTo, but their stupid policies meant I couldn't buy UK PSN Cards from them even if I wanted to.

Could you elaborate on that please? I am considering using them for getting UK Codes.

...for that matter, other than Amazon, what's a good place to get US PSN codes?

The last gamescom was good for the Vita even though it hadn't many game announcements. Stuff like crossbuy and PS+ are awesome in my opinion.

I expect a price cut, at least to €199, maybe even €179. It should include a 8GB memory card. If they are aggressive, they might also bundle a game like Killzone or PS+ at that price. Amazon.de sold Vitas at €150-160 with LBP and a memory card for a short time, so Sony has to deliver some value.
Same goes for the memory cards, which is a bigger reason why consumers shy away from the device than the price of the Vita itself, they feel ripped of. So at least I would like to see them introducing a 64 GB card and moving every card to a lower price tier with the 4 GB being removed from the market.

Gameswise, they need to have at least two new rather big announcements to keep the Vita on life support (TGS is also available for announcements like GR2). The new Bend game should be ripe for an announcement and I hope it is a new Uncharted.
Ubisoft seems to be pretty supportive of flailing platforms and they were satisfied with the sales of AC3: L. There were rumors about Ghost Recon and Rayman Legends has a Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia costume, so maybe one of those games.
Maybe they'll announce some localizations famousmortimer was hinting on.

Still, this wouldn't be enough for a turnaround of sales so I really hope there is more.

I really hope Gamescom/PS4 is a turning point for vita! I love my vita so much, it has become my main gaming platform (also have a ps3 but rarely touch it) and i own 80% of all the vita library haha

This is what I was talking about earlier. I'd love to see something like this. (Forgive my HORRENDOUS image editing skills.)

jxLTFyIsHylYE.jpg

You could go to Posts, sort either by everybody, by region, your friends, or developer posts. You could post about the game, screenshots (marked spoiler if it's story related), having people comment or "like" it, etc. Every game would have this. A little community for every game. I WOULD LOVE THIS.

I was going to make a mock up screenshot of the Posts page but I don't have the skills. Still, you get the idea.

I like it but might be better with another tab for Friends

Friends tab: Place where you could post pictures and make post about the game like a mini forum.

Post should be Be called General instead it would have the same features as the friend tab but not restricted to friends only.
