Yeah, I would have ignored the game if it wasn't for the great TA impressionsI can't get over the name. Why must iOS games have the most obnoxious names?

Worms 3 is out! Woo!
What else did everyone buy?
I'm thinking of getting that permadeath game where loot comes from real player corpses. But I'm worried about the IAPs.
Ha, that was me. I beta tested Trial by Survival. The IAP is incredibly fair. Just read the TA forums thread, all the impressions attest to that as well.Yeah, that looks interesting. Funny that someone was talking about how they wanted Teleglitch but on iOS in last month's thread. Here it is prettymuch.
Um, this is rad. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Also, Slayin on iPhone? How does the game work on smaller screens?
Well, I was able to get Teleglitch so I got that angle covered on PC (it's an amazing roguelike btw). But TbS is also quite funCool. Are you still playing Trial by Survival? Gameplay actually fun/good, and any reason why you'd want Teleglitch still after playing Trial by Survival?
Also, Amateur Surgeon 3 came out. I know the first two were somewhat popular. And Dubai Delivery piques my interest, and is free.
Guys, buy Mikey Hooks. You will thank me later.
Also, add me on Game Center right after for some leaderboards action.
Whats your Gamecenter name?
What are scanlines? I was reading the Slaying TA thread and someone said it had a scanline option, and I remember scanlines being mentioned in one of the IOS threads on GAF
Ultima Forever was released. Freemium EA game.
Ah, I seeAn effect on old TVs or arcade machines that introduced lines across the screen. Some games give you an option for the nostalgia hit.
I'd also recommend Gleamer (beta tested that one too), especially if you like challenging games.
In Gleamer, your cube is always moving, your only control is to jump. To change direction, you have to bounce off walls, and the more you bounce off walls, the faster you go. Think of it less as a straight platformer, more as a puzzle game, You're not collecting power ups or activating switches. It's all about timing when and where to jump, planning which is the best order to grab the pick ups and best path to take to control your speed and beat the level as fast as possible while avoiding the dangerous red platforms. I say puzzle like, because going too fast or waiting too long to build up speed will throw your entire attempt, so it becomes like a puzzle to plan out the fastest way to complete the level
And it's just strangely satisfying to see your cube flickering across the screen at insane speeds

Cool, Gleamer dev is a GAFfer.
Haha, small world.
I'm the developer of Gleamer actually. I like to think of it as a twitch/puzzle platformer. It has one-touch controls, as I wanted to try to make a good, challenging platforming game for touch screens without using virtual controls.
In the game there are 50 levels. You have to collect the five stars in each level to complete it (and do it under the 'master time' to complete it properly). There are blue platforms and red platforms. You can use the blue platforms, but the red ones destroy you. The levels require good reflexes and timing, so If you are a fan of games where you have to get things just right you might like this.
Here is a gameplay video of some of the first levels that Sanuku at TouchArcade made (although the actual game runs at 60fps):

I also put three promo codes in this post. So quote me to reveal them. If you didn't get a code and want to play it, it's just $0.99. In full disclosure, there is one IAP, but it is completely optional. All it does is unlock all the levels in advance, whereas they unlock normally as you play through the game.
Here it is on itunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gleamer/id622456407?ls=1&mt=8

What are some of the best "deeper" experiences on iOS? Or "console-like" experiences that are actually worth playing? I like sims and strategy, and would be interested in RPG's. Are there any decent dungeon crawlers? I have quite a lot of score attack and other pick-up-and-play style games already but nothing that I will really sit and play for any greater lengths of time.
Hi guys, looking for recommendations on online multiplayer games I can play with my girlfriend. Not particularly into FPS or racing on iOS but most other things considered. We have worms 2 and Air Wings® already, some sort of easy to get into strategy game would be nice but all things considered as long as the controls are good.
Hey guys, I've been thinking about buying an ipad but i'm not sure which one.
I will be using it primarily for games like kotor or shadowrun returns and xcom.
Could anyone of you say which generation is best for me or the ipad mini?
I could do that if I wasn't impatient. Do you recommend the ipad mini for the (somewhat) heavier games? Or do you recommend the 4th gen?The new one they're announcing and releasing later this fall (sept/oct).
Hero Academy! Still playing every single damn day against my friend since around release day last year. <3

Worms 3:
Fantastic, first worms game for iOS that feels mde for the platform, new zones, tons of options, cards are a nice touch. Not bloated in file size like the others, even the icon has lost the tacky T17 logo. The Dpad makes it though, so much easier. It could use more maps and voice banks but other than that, recommended.
Trial by Survival:
Bought the Scavanger pack, great art style, love the atmosphere (wind blowing leaves around), so far not dead so not sure what you "lose" on death, i hope its not currency / unlocks...

Is the scavenger pack one time use?

That behaviour usually means the game isn't available in your region (which would be weird for this game, so maybe it's not that). Maybe it's not up yet due to timezone differences?Weird, I'm having trouble finding Gleamer on the app store. Not in search and even opening the link in Safari sends me to the main app store page, but it works on my computer

ThanksIt's a one-time permanent purchase unlock as far as I understand.
