Battlefield 4: Official "Paracel Storm" Multiplayer Trailer

Also count me in on the "not 1080p on next gen consoles" train. They haven't mentioned it along with 60 fps, so to probably push the eye candy a bit they've gone with 900p.

Still quite the step up from current-gen though, and as the generation develops I'm sure we'll see 1080p 60 fps visuals with that fidelity on consoles.

Good. Fucking. Lord.

Think BF4 will be one of my first games without a doubt when I put down cash for a PS4. I dont really plan on upgrading my pc for another year or so. When I upgrade my GPU and power supply, I'll double dip on BF4.

Next payday I'm preordering this. This time I'll grab the pass too, which I never got round to with 3.

THIS is how multiplayer is done. Maybe next year Activision will actually force COD to innovate (lol).

The game never plays like the trailers. =[

Looks good though.
Those are "Battlefield moments", and they totally happen to me at least on a constant basis.

No, while you're playing a round it's not going to be constantly like what was shown in the trailer. Rather what they're showing is what would be a compilation of those "Battlefield moments". It's the kind of thing that made me stop playing Call of Duty all together and put all of my multiplayer time into Battlefield.

I do kind of remember in Bad Company 2, it felt like ticket drain from having more control points was toned down, at least compare to 1942, so kill/death became a bigger factor which de-emphasized capturing and keeping control points.

Not only that but actual bonuses (flag value) for controlling points and punishments for losing points were removed. In 1942 and other Battlefields, holding certain points gave you stuff such as extra vehicles, health/ammo locations, AA guns, and map control. People would fight over the flags that controlled the map or had the planes/tanks. This would lead to awesome Conquest matches.

In BF3 almost every flag netted you minimum reward and punishment which meant people didn't care for them. So it would turn into a TDM match more than a Conquest match. In Armored Kill they kind of added it back to one flag, the one that holds the AC-130.

So I understand the complaints that you quickly spawncamp your enemy, when there is no incentive for the enemy to capture a flag. However BF3 Conquest is not representative of Battlefield Conquest, in my opinion.

I saw that a boulder killed a person after a building or something was destroyed. Actually we saw that boulder twice in the video, does that mean it will be prescripted destruction, where the boulder will follow the same path all the time?

And from the e3(?) trailer before will the guy parachuting into the debris of the giant building get killed now?

The only difference eith real gameplay are the boats. In the trailer the boats are full of people. When you actually play, try to get a boat with pone person... goes... oh, an Amtrac... goes... well, a boat just spawned, I'll grab it and wait for people so we can go together and kick asses... everybody goes swimming :-@

Now this is how you do Multiplayer!

AWESOME!

I am a big COD MP fan and never played Battlefield but it seems that they just got another player.

Yes we get trailers like these with all these "BF moments", but the thing that makes these moments so awesome is because it isn't always fast-paced action and explosions in your face all the time in BF, compared with say COD. It's why Conquest is and always will be my favourite mode. It's the most open and allows for the widest variety in play styles, and for every crazy moment there's plenty of more quiet gameplay to go with it. It makes the better moments so much more memorable. It's traditional BF.

That being said, I did like Rush better in BC2, Conquest just lacked something in that game.

I thought it was going to be hard not getting this on 360 before the One comes out, but then I remembered 1080p, 60fps, 64 player battles.

The wait will be worth it.

yeah, the last time i remember boats being full was BC2 Vietnam expansion, prolly cause those boats didn't completely suck.

Lol, yes, playing with randoms can be super terrible at times. I am fortunate enough to have a large pool of people I regularly play Battlefield 3 with on the 360 currently, and most are moving over to the PS4 for BF4.

This is going to be fucking awesome
for the first few months, and then the server admins will completely fuck with the rules and impose weapon/vehicle restrictions, limited map rotations and crazy ticket bloats :(

Oh, so you've got a pretty Stealth Bomber and Strafing Helicopters in COD?

Here's a fucking ship destroying the other team. That is a goddamn killstreak.

Tried to go back and play BF3 on PC. It's...horrible because of those things you described.

I can't thank GAFBF3 enough for showing me how to search for official servers. Fuck those custom server admins, seriously.

I was a big CoD fan, too, but man, after a while I got tired of the same old.

Switching to Battlefield was more than just a breath of fresh air. It was an eye-opener for me. I may talk about how I think BF is better in many respects, but I'm not a CoD hater and I will defend that series when I think it deserves defending. But damn if I'm not a total convert at this point. Just don't think I can go back.

I think between BF4 and TitanFall, I'm set for FPS gaming for a long time.

Best game ever confirmed.
No other game out there even comes close to matching that.
With friends and using teamwork - nothing out there touches Battlefield.
Good thing I have a crew of 10-15 Battlefielders on Xbox upgrading to XB1.

Heres the real kicker: its a fucking launch title. Unreal.

So I called up Origin support

I had BF4 Pre-Order key from that battlepack incentive

I asked them that I already used the PS3 battlepack code and I couldn't enter this

They said 1 code = both versions

I asked about Premium, they said buy once get for both version if you own them

Very interesting, BF4 for PS3 and PS4
