Perhaps a bank holiday? I'm not an EU/UK person, so I'm not sure what's up.What happened to week 34? Is it delayed or some sort?
The top three are all new entries this week with Saints Row IV landing at No1, followed by Tom Clancys Splinter Cell: Blacklist at No2 and Disney Infinity at No3. Saints Row IV is the 4th biggest launch of the year so far (behind Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us). It fails to outperform the debut of predecessor Saints Row: The Third, but is still the second best launch for the controversial series. Taken over from THQ by Deep Silver/Koch, it is the ambitious publishers third different title to reach No1 in the All Formats chart this year (the others being Dead Island Riptide and Metro Last Light). This is a feat only matched by EA. Sales were split 69% on Xbox 360 and 31% on PS3. The highly anticipated Disney Infinity opens strongly, selling 3.6 times more starter pack units at launch than the original Skylanders. It performed best on Xbox 360 with a 43% share, then PS3 at 22%, Wii 21%, Wii U 10% and 3DS 4%. Last weeks No1, Payday 2 (-76%) tumbles to No18 while the rest of the Top 10 mostly shuffles amongst themselves. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (+3%), Black Ops II (-17%), FIFA 13 (-14%) and Animal Crossing: New Leaf (-9%) all drop two places to Nos 4, 5, 6 and 7 respectively. Lego Batman 2 (+1%) is a non-mover at No8 ahead of The Last of Us (-9%) at No9. 2K Games/Take 2 enter the chart at No10 with The Bureau: Xcom Declassified and there is also a new face at No22; the Wii U exclusive The Wonderful 101.
Not good for Splinter Cell franchise.
I don't think anyone expected it to have legs tbhWhoa @ Payday 2 drop, that is huuuuuuge
Huh, didn't expect w101 to do that badly.
Given this is the All Formats Charts, it could be higher in the Individual one, even much higher. I must be honest: I thought it would have had a worse debut, actually.
Did better than I expected considering it's one of those niche hardcore games, still bad.Poor TW101
Worse? It probably sold less than 5.000 copies.
Whoa @ Payday 2 drop, that is huuuuuuge
Good for saints row, not matching sr3 was expected so i'd say its still a good result
Bombas everywhere else. W101 was always going to be a bomba, but ubi and Disney must be pretty nervous right now.
I can see splinter cell going on hiatus like PoP.
I don't see how splinter cell could be considered a bomba if that is what you are saying? It was never one of ubisofts premier selling franchises. Well known yes, but it has never sold on the level they wanted.
W101 is a new IP niche game, it's not a game that can twist the fate of a suffering console, but more a game that suffers from the struggle of the console. it charted, didn't bomb considering what it is, it did better than other Wii U/Vita games, that didn't charted at all or charted lower.
It's probably lower on the individual one, actually.Given this is the All Formats Charts, it could be higher in the Individual one, even much higher. I must be honest: I thought it would have had a worse debut, actually.
Oh isn't w101 platinum's most expensive game? Wtf were they thinking? :-/
Yeah, Platinum probably doesn't care much about the sales. Nintendo, on the other hand, is probably pretty nervous about Bayonetta 2 now. That Nintendo's footing the bill?

Yeap, I don't know what people were expecting.
Xbox 360 with a 43% share, then PS3 at 22%, Wii 21%, Wii U 10%
Inside the top 20. It's not as if Wii U owners have much else to play.
It does if you consider that there could've been 4 different versions of Disney Infinity and other newly released multiplats charting higher than it. I was wrong this time though. That doesn't make any sense.
So far I have seen 0 advertising for it. Nintendo going all out!
