First ever DriveClub direct feed racing footage (GamesCom)

Oh brother... People are making a big deal out of nothing. Where's the 1080p direct feed gameplay Forza videos? There aren't any.

Really? I'm not a big fan of realistic driving games so I haven't paid too much attention, but I have heard it said repeatedly that Forza 5 is 1080p/60fps and has been shown running like that.

It's been shown at shows like Gamescom, what he means is there is no direct feed 1080p/60 footage released on the internet for us to disect like people are asking here.

I believe Rushy said yes to point to point

Yes, but I'm asking if we can move the barriers to create our own layouts.

They've said the game will feature open environments, which means there must be a network of road to create X amount of courses per country.

Rushy please!

Can't wait to drive from the Gamescom demo area up to the snowy top mountains in Canada...

There aint many direct feed videos of any next gen titles yet bar the odd one or two. Im expecting a wait till after tgs when we will start and see closer to final when they all start pushing out df videos.

Rushy said the DF videos have been sent somewhere and they will be upload. He even said he expected them to be online yesterday or today. But nothing so far :'(

I may have missed this but aside from the scratches on the bodywork, are the cars going to be damageable?

I saw the brilliant barrier deformation after the car hit it, but I wonder if the cars will be significantly transformable through damage.

It's not a must as this looks brilliant so far.

this is flawed thinking. Evolution should be trying to make this game as feature rich as possible. If this game is half assed or half baked, there won't be a DriveClub 2. I don't know...they should have added weather effects
Hey, why don't you quote that MS Apocalypse gif that you like so much to try to make your point again? You know, the gif with all the impressive environment effects going off from the THIRD GAME IN THE SERIES?

you mean this?

this gif just reminds me how static the environments in DC are :(

Need fog, wind, rain and snow! lighting and thunder strikes would nice as well!

I hoe its not like Dirt 2/3 where the environments have like, 5 or 6 routes running through it that overlap heavily. It makes it impossible to even remember which one is which when so much track is recycled from route to route.

GTA:V trailer probably scared them off to putting up the 1080p footage tomorrow instead of today. :p

But seriously. We need to see this game in action.

That's the one! You didn't get that at hardware launch though. Five years later, in fact. Just sayin'

The main reason I want to see a good clear video of Driveclub in action is because I wasn't that hyped for Killzone SF until I saw the beauty of the direct feed footage. I want to get the same hype feeling for Driveclub, would love to see a full 12 vehicle race even if its just with AI racers.

I'm curious of what happens when you go off the path for a short moment, into say.. the field of flowers that have no guard rail. I assume an instant reset on the track.
