I'm talking about in a locker room setting, etc. Hell I used to have a roommate situation where we would piss (not shit. never shit) and take showers with the main bathroom door open in our tiny apartment together because we were that comfortable with each other.

Of course. Gym setting and football training / games. There's no segregation between men in the locker rooms.

Nope, but the situation never arose anyway.

edit: Didn't know people actually showered after gym class in real life. I always thought that was more of something that happened decades ago and died out over time.

I never had to take a shower from PE class, didnt even have showers until high school and nobody used it

I still get offended when some old dude is flopping around without a towel in the gym locker room. Just b/c we're guys does not make nudity ok

I shower everyday after a gym workout with guys. Is it any different?

This. Once. They checked to make sure we showered on the first day, but I knew their game. They were looking for the people who'd try to weasel out of it and keep a closer eye on them, so I took to the shower without a fight and they never checked to make sure we did it again. I don't care. Those showers were ice-cold.

Uhm yeah? Not sure how people could avoid that for all their life. I played football... and gym at school it was also needed for... and hell most like water world places here also makes you group shower like that.

Same here. Back in High School we did have showers but the P.E. teachers always said that if you wanted to use them you had to be buck naked. Only one guy actually ever went through with it, one of those class clown types.

Never did it personally. Probably would never want to. Heck, I have a hard enough time peeing in a urinal when people are around.

people at my 24 hour fitness (including me) walk around naked all the time in the locker room. When you are secure, you are secure. Tell me what I'm doing wrong?

This. The only time I showered at school was after taking swim class, and I went to an extremely small HS my junior/senior year so it's not like I was showering in front of 40 dudes. Sometimes it was just me.

PE? No one showered. Ever. And I went to a bunch of different high schools.

No one took showers after PE in my school. We never got that serious in PE where we needed a shower, and if we did stink after gym it was nothing a good amount of AXE/TAG or deodorant couldn't cover up.

Also I don't go to a gym to work out so no to that too.

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning. In fact my teammates go one step further and slap each others asses and compliments everyone's junk. No sexuality is questioned in the showers.

A P.E. teacher went so far to put that in the rules. I've never heard of that before? Why/is there a good reason for this? What kind of teacher was this?

I've never been naked in public. In school barely anyone ever showered. We just had different outfits for gym. Underwear remained on. Only ever saw the football team do that. Also went to a public pool as a kid and didn't know why people were naked in the locker room. No one told me I needed to wash the chlorine off.

What is the thread title trying to get at? Is there some deeper question you are trying to understand?

Why do men feel uncomfortable naked around each other? Why is nudity taboo? Why not just get straight to it?

In junior high, you could not leave the locker room after PE without a towel. You could not get a towel unless you were naked and wet. Yeah those were good times.
