HOORAY for another month of indie goodness! I'm very pleased to see Gone Home take the big award home from the last thread.

Also, terrible plug for MetaVendetta Episode 5 - Bosses. It drops today at MetaVendetta.com or iTunes
mv_bosses.png

Get it while it's hot! We'll be giving away some copies of the Risk of Rain soundtrack as well.

Also, I apologize for the lack of ridiculous teaser videos like the previous episodes, work got busy.

Bookmarking so I can take a look at some of this months games.
Have the Ethan demo, just need to give it a whirl

It's been almost a month since their last update about it, but hopefully Vlambeer's Luftrausers is sailing through certification as we speak. I just really hope they get it out there before PS4 launch mid-November since this is a PS3/Vita game for consoles and while I know that those of us getting a PS4 aren't simply going to stop playing our PS3s, the less competition for attention the better in terms of a strong initial sales showing, imo. I want these guys to do gangbusters in sales with their first console outing. They're a great team.

Morpholis - $20 for Preorder and Alpha/ $10 for only Preorder (PC, Max, Linux, Android)
P94h2Vu.jpg

http://mcro.org/morphopolis/

Visually stunning hidden object game that collects praises for its art style and visual execution left and right.

So, the game is obviously filled with bugs, but in its current alpha state some of them may become too annoying: http://gamingbolt.com/morphopolis-preview. Really hyped for it, but I think I'll wait a bit longer.

Doing a Reddit trade: A Valley Without Wind or La Mulana? Valley's demo was cool but I remember you guys raving about Mulana in one of the threads.
La Mulana, easily.

Nothing to Hide, Nothing to Fear - Nothing to fear of, they're always watching over you.

MIMICS - The game is about teenage life and in particular the disguises that teenagers put on in order to hide their true identity, to gain social status or to shield themselves from emotional damage. The story takes place in a minimalistic dream world where magic and superpowers are part of everyday life. The inhabitants of the world are strange teenage creatures whose physique and powers are exaggerated manifestations of their inner emotional struggle.

Düm Bot - 3D action platformer about a dim-witted, mute, robot originally created for nefarious purposes and his partner, a paraplegic, redneck, talking zombie exacting revenge on their evil creator while trying to save the world from an apocalypse brought about through the use of zombies, robots, and robot-zombies.

The Lady - A very surreal/abstract Point and Click/Puzzle Game, whatever it means.

Path of Shadows - I think I remember it from the first thread, good to see it's still being developed. It’s a stealth game where you control an assassin capable of manipulating the shadows to achieve his objectives. Create shadows, teleport to any shadow in the scenario, merge with the scenario, make noise to lure out enemies, etc.

Kromaia - A six degrees of freedom adventure shooter which takes action, speed, agility and immersion to a new level.

Xaxi - A virtual memory palace of sorts, designed to teach Aliceffekt's Conlang Traumae, and examine the possiblities of learning and memory in interactive virtual enviroments.

Nothing to Hide, Nothing to Fear is a stealth survival horror game set in a dystopian surveillance state

And I want Path of Shadows now

Bird of Prey (PC/IOS/Android)
Site
Brower demo (Unity)
Bird of Prey will be a game where you play the part of multiple bird of prey such as osprey, eagle, hawk, etc. Your objective will be to feed your young hatchlings by hunting over various local terrains. During these hunts you will have to evade other predators such as panthers, other bird of prey and humans. You will hunt over dense forests, mountanious regions and large lakes and rivers. The type of food you will seek out would include squirrel, rabbits, mice, rodents, fish and snakes.

Universum: War Front - FPS, RTS, MOBA RPG in one Space Epic

268x268.resizedimage

Made by one person thus far.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects...s-moba-rpg-in-one-space?ref=recently_launched
What is Universum: War Front in a few words?

Dota by its MOBA gameplay elements.
Starcraft/Warhammer by its atmosphere, RTS elements.

Battlefield by its gameplay dynamics, FPS elements.

StarWars by its high adventure storyline.

So this is a new indie Sci-Fi Multiplayer Battle Arena game, where you can:

- Command your troops on high or come down in first person and keep the enemy at gunpoint in dynamic battles.
- Fight in 5 dimensions: ground, air, underground, open space, underwater.
- Play infantry, vehicles, mechs or alien creatures.
- Customize your character by researching new technologies.
- Enjoy the beautiful graphics, realistic physics and incredible visual effects.

And all of this can be played on the beautiful landscapes of alien planets. Each planet has their unique natural environment, physics and disasters in the huge world of Universum.

Just copy pasted that from the kick-starter page, game tries to be everything...

There is also a debut trailer:

So we all know of Inverto. Saw this game on Greenlight: Atttractio
Attractio is an indie first-person puzzle game developed with the GC Engine (GameCoder Studios' in-house engine) where the player has to solve challenging puzzles manipulating gravity. These puzzles challenge the usual way of thinking about physics and gravity. In Attractio each object has its own gravity direction which can be changed by the player.

637x358.resizedimage

Personally I think it's edging a bit too much into Inverto territory. The premise and graphic style is different and there are some other cool mechanics, but similar name, similar gravity manipulating gun mechanic, etc. I guess the key difference is that you're manipulating gravity rather than re-orienting gravity but still...

What do you guys think?

If its a good game in itself, why not. Most of these games started out as portal clones anyway, after portal became such a huge hit and made 3D physics puzzles popular. Its certainly not original enough to warrant an immediate purchase from you, but I dont hold any grudges against the devs for making such a game.

guys guys guys. Full Bore is massively awesome. I'll make a thread on it if no one else does so before me once again.

Oof! This is hard as hell to resist. If they discount the Humble Store version I might cave...
Game's coming to the IndieGameStand store as well, not sure what the price will be, but you'll get a DRM free version and Desura key as well. So maybe hold off

Desura is DRM free as well, plus I dont think its likely it will get a better than 60% discount.

The trailer looks good but I'm a bit skeptical with only one person working in a game with a large scope, I hope it turns out to be a great game because the concept is cool.

honorless

We don't have "get out of jail free" cards, but if we did, she'd have one.

I'd incur a $3+ international fee for using Desura ATM because my CC is off-limits. That would be bad math ;)

Admittedly, I'm not super concerned because it's...actually pretty likely that Full Bore will be 60% off again before I get to it. But we'll see what happens with the IGS store...

Nice job on the Full Bore thread. Yeah, I have some info to post later to bump it up. At least the game is getting good reviews on Desura.

Interference is on Greenlight Concepts

Here's a new trailer showing the improved platforming and art style.
Interference is a Stealth Puzzle Platformer with a gameplay mechanic similar to that of Rubik's Cube which lets you modify its levels' architecture. Fast stealth gameplay, no way to kill, run and hide, you must sneak through the guts of this technoir metropolis. Join the Interferers and redraw reality!

- Cyberpunk/TechNoir Atmosphere
- Fast stealth gameplay
- Hack level design to manipulate enemies and progress in the game

Awesome, thanks! I probably wont be able to resist either.
So the big question: save for Teslagrad or get this? Audiosurf will have more content in the long run and I have over 400 songs on my laptop, but the Teslagrad demo was so good.

If I get A2, I'll have $11 left in my Steam Wallet

Luckily their/his kickstarter's main goal seems to be to get more people on-board. But yeah, very ambitious game and not sure if it will get funded or green-lit.

Games like that requires a big community to be successful. Without a playable Alpha, or mainstream coverage both from the web and youtubers games like that just become forgotten.

You just posted the thread on it, wait ~12 hours for Gaf impressions.

Very cool. Thanks for the link. Tower of Guns looks enticing. Damn, while I'm happy to support the devs, still annoying that I paid full price for Race The Sun and Aces Wild

But everyone should pick up One Finger Death Punch for 0.99! You won't regret it

Thanks! That's quite a shocker for us, but we're uber happy!

PS. You can still get the game at our website: http://mouse-craft.com/store and get the Steam key when we will publish it on Steam.
You just reminded me that I need to check our your game. I already bought it over a month ago and havent tried it yet. Halp, my backlog is eating me alive.

Stormy Grey
Nice, Fibrillation got greenlit.

Testing Luxuria Superbia today, what an interesting concept. I can't post any screenshots and I don't know how much they will allow me to talk about but I think that Tale of Tales may have something on their hands that will appeal to a broader audience without sacrificing thematic material. Much more game-y than bonertoots and The Path, something for the score chasers to get lost in.

EDIT: According to Santa Ragione, FOTONICA is finally in the top 25!
