With Sony it could be as simple as the game isn't good enough, they can't meet hardware demand anyway, and preorders were non-existent for it, because they'd failed to communicate what the retail is versus the PS+ Edition.

Wasn't planning to pick it up anyway but would have at least liked to check out the PS+ edition.

What the heck is with these last-minute delays? Surely you generally know before <1 month before release if a delay is neccessary. They should be going into certification now for crying out loud, not delaying.

This is so disappointing. It was likely to be a very solid game. Killzone will be good, but its just impossible to tell whether Knack will be good or horrible. But seriously, only two exclusive retail games for launch? That's pathetic. Vita had Uncharted, Wipeout 2048, Hot Shots Golf, Little Deviants, and Modnation Racers, as well as SEVERAL third party exclusives.

About 100 I think, your right btw, isn't paternity leave like 1 week? it really isn't an impact.

I know Mortimer has a great record of leaks this year, but I don't see driveclub being delayed, I think there more chance of it shipping broken tbh rather than delayed, If it is though, I hope we get Knack in PS+ instead. Wil wait for confirmation.

Then again Watch_Dogs was a huge surprise to me too (Not that it was delayed because it needed more work, because frankly I agree, but that it was delayed so far out.)

If it ends up being true, it does beg the question as to what happens to the PS+ deal. I'd be more than happy if they switched it to give Knack free in the US. That holds far more interest for me than a racing game. I'll be pissed however if they switch it to KZ multiplayer or something though, not just because I'll be picking that game up, but because I imagine it's the most popular game going right now (as far as Sony exclusives), and therefore the least number of people would find the deal appealing.

Drive club on ps+ was keeping me keen even if I had no plans to buy the full game.

Knack I'm not really sold on yet. Doubt it will get my hype back up.

Killzone I have with my Amazon ps4 preorder but money is really tight and a brand new system just for killzone when I just got mercenaries.. And possibly Planetside 2. I won't afford that I think.

I was willing to put up for some next gen racing but this is just going to be a sad state if true. If wipeout was still in the cards then I wouldn't even consider it but I think I'll have to let my preorder go.
Probably for the best in terms of personal finance but still sucks, was hoping for a nice new toy to play things with. Back to my trusty vita for now I think.

And it was one of the games in official bundles right?

Alright, Watch Dogs being delayed is totally fine. I preordered it but eventually lost interest because of how the game looked. But DriveClub? I'd be probably disgruntled and unpleased, if I'm allowed to say that so slangy.

Game was never digital only.

Spring release seems like the sweet spot for delayed games. Gotta have some new games for wave 2.

If Knack and maybe Killzone get delayed with no indie games in sight at release I'm definitely canning for now. Would just have to place faith that the demand doesn't outstrip supply (going with Foxconn I IMAGINE it'll clear up sooner than later, unlike the early non-Foxconn Wii days.)

the sole piece of PS4 software will be a fullscreen app which plays that banderas gif on a loop when you start the console.

it'll still achieve GOTY through intense pressure from the sony caucus.

I am sad and happy at the same time, sad because i was really looking forward to play DriveClub on PS4 and happy because if it really got delayed it will be even a better game.

Can't see that happening. I mean if they give one of their two remaining retail launch titles away for free then they're not going to be making much dollar!

ouch, that's really unfortunate (if true). I was hoping to see the differing emphasis on gameplay/modes/features between this and forza. While I wasn't enamored with the game, it's pretty clear that it looked like it was shaping up to be a solid title--especially since part of it was free.

And now Vita has almost nothing coming from Sony. Staggering the releases for PS4 will be a better plan.

Bummer if true. I was looking forward to playing this at launch, especially the free version, which was supposed to be a selling point of PSN in the next gen...

Bummer, those actually were the two games I was excited about. Never played a Killzone game but that seems to be the only retail title worth getting now, if I didn't miss stuff.
