I think these guys got upset about being told not to mention something and Kevin has decided to tack on a load of unrelated issues.

Dev kit costs has nothing to do with a publisher holding a failed preview event.

It is. There might be a "legal" issue with it, but if something ever comes up, I'm sure it can be easily fought. Especially since Sony said they are working on removing it for games.

As long as people don't use strippers for bullshit activities like copying movies, then everything should be fine. But this issue won't create an increase of pirating as these strippers have always existed.

80% of this comes down to gaming "journalists" having their panties in a wad that the are being gag ordered not to report on pre-launch/ release issues a game had at a closed private demonstration that is going to to be resolved by the time it would have even mattered. And frankly if you look at the player that are moving this nonsense forward they are all firmly in the XBoxOne camp so this is more of a shit slinging vendetta the anything resembling true journalism or integrity.

The dev kit situation matters when MS deliver on the every retail box is a dev kit promise AND it provides full dev kit functionality

Correct, just to stipulate again, this is almost entirely insider baseball stuff.

Also in terms of the Xbox dev kits, once they release the software you can download it and turn your Xbox One into a dev kit.

You know what this means? People are capitalizing on the high tension atmosphere and want hits for one and know they can rile things up. To me, if it's unsubstantiated or vague then it's not worth endless pages of nonsensical panic over things that hardly matter to the consumer (us).
