What few reviews I can find about it are actually highly positive. I think there's a few prejudices rearing their ugly heads over on the forums.

Oh, another release! Brand new title, this time: Democracy 3

Edit:
LLTQ reviews:

http://indiegames.com/2012/06/review_long_live_the_queen_han.html
http://www.themarysue.com/long-live-the-queen-game-review/

It reads vaguely like FTL, but in a Machiavellian court.

It reminds me of FTL as well for some reason...if it's available on Steam, I'll support it by making a give away~

Messages were just sent out very recently to those who won the longest registered thing for the 5th birthday giveaway. They had to sift through almost 200 pages of posts manually to determine and verify the winners. That must have been a huge pain.
Missed it by one day!
I was right on the day, apparently. Funny thing about this giveaway, the longer you've been with GOG, the more likely you've already bought all the games you'd have ever wanted, especially with all the sales and such. Grabbed PixelJunk Monsters.

No Carma 2 for free? Boo :(

Surprised we didn't get an email at least notifying us that it was available. Also, I want that game from the KS right now. We should've had it by now, yes?

Releases:
Aarklash: Legacy
Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse now

Aarklash looks intriguing. Carmageddon is Carmageddon, but now I'm racking my brains trying to recall if I should be getting that for free from the Kickstarter or not.

Edit: Looks like nope. I'll be purchasing, then.

From what I can tell Aarklash has been quite positively received (which is fairly odd as it's from Cyanide and their stuff is normally junk) it just seems to been ignored by the vast majority of people and media outlets. There's a demo on Steam which I keep meaning to check out, though keep forgetting. :p

As ever, release date rejiggery, partly due to them getting an influx of funding from outside. Looks like the date is now Q1 2014... for Early Access.

I'm thinking of putting together a "Kickstarter update" thread covering the games previously mentioned in the GAF Kickstarter thread to keep people up-to-date and as a handy pointer whenever folks do the old "Has any Kickstarter released yet?". Can't figure out if it should be part of the main thread or its own thing, though.

Releases:

Triple Town. ($9.99, currently $5.99); it's a version with no IAP (which does make me try to remember what IAPs the game had; I only played the Android version briefly)

Rune ($9.99, currently $4.99); I remember this *very* vaguely from when it came out, but really don't recall much about it. Includes the expansion.

The inclusion of Rune did send me down another train of thought - does any DL service have Heretic 2?

I don't see it anywhere, so I think it's still not re-released digitally. Steam's Super iD Pack just had heretic and hexen, no heretic 2.

As for Triple Town, it's a charming match-3 game, the IAPs in the mobile version just add gameplay modes for the most part I believe. Still, this release features a new city-management overworld type area with some meta-game where you need to collect your materials you harvest from the normal match-3 gameplay and send off ships or something it looks. Hopefully that makes it over to the mobile version as IAP eventually, looks interesting enough for a few bucks.

Isn't Rune among some of the more questionable 'classics' to come out on GOG? I remember it being hit pretty hard by reviewers when it was released.

I really liked Rune :)
It has 76 on metacritic for PC which isn't that bad, although wikipedia claims the PS2 port was more heavily criticized.

Questionable ?

Back then it had amazing graphic and awesome combat system. One of better games i played. Though now it is probably shit because fun part graphic and combat

Ground Control 1 & 2 are great games that everyone should play. Definitely recommended by me :)

Also, I remember when the Dark Conspiracy expansion was released. It was free for everyone with the original Ground Control, you just had to pay for the postage. Good times indeed.

Oh hell yea man! The original Ground Control is one of my favorite games ever. Never did finish Dark Conspiracy though... Might just have to grab these to play them again, just so I have them digitally. The CD's are somewhere deep, deep in my closet.

GC2 was decent nothing special.

A Monday release?

Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender

Now, it's worth pointing out that while this is different from the norm, it probably doesn't mean that anything unusual is happening this week. Getting hyped about it would be premature and unwise.

But... this is Neogaf.

Hi the monday release date is all my fault :) - I chose it to avoid the bigger AAA titles that usually ship mid to late week. Our game is small and doesn't have masses of marketing budget like the big boys.

And not just to wind GAF up? That's quite the missed opportunity.

Quick, can you churn out a speedy game about a cheerful australian wild dog fascinated by traditional fairytales, and release it on GoG on Thursday?

That's the same game that was released as an XBox Live Indie game, isn't it? Quite enjoyed that one, so it's nice to see it on GOG.

Thanks - yes this is the same game as the most recent Xbox patch (it added easy mode and some extra enemies/levels).

Unfortunately we found a small issue just now where some controllers are not detected properly on the PC version, apologies to anyone this affects - we are working on a fix ASAP, it shouldnt take too long but sorry for any inconvenience in the meantime.
