It is NOT always that simple. Blurring content is NOT always technically legal.
If MS actually wanted to put the doubters to rest, they could march their console in front of the press in a live press conference, and show any fucking thing they wanted on the screen while doing the live UI demo. They could do all the kinds of things Sony had the balls to do TWO MONTHS AGO, live at Gamescom.
The press could stream the live video, because under the doctrine of Fair Use and the protections of the 1st Amendment, the types of "licensing issues" Albert Penello is attempting to hide behind DO NOT EXIST FOR THE PRESS.
If they are so absolutely confident that their UI isn't a crash-fest, they could rent a hotel ballroom and conduct this press conference in a matter if hours. But no, they aren't doing that.
Instead, MS is choosing to make laughable excuses why they can't show the UI, and must show the pre-baked "representation" instead. And you are jumping through hoops to defend him and being rude to fellow GAFers for what, exactly?
Please, respond to this post. I want to hear why MS can't do the above and why you are here defending them.
