She better be, that's a good point, although she only cloned his cellphone, not his landline I think.

Ahh....that's why he kept appearing in flashbacks.

Now that was just a stupid plot point for this show. come on, why did you think the judges wouldn't be corrupt?

Like I said . SMART WOMAN!

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
If shit was real before, then shit just dipped into the uncanny valley and shot right back up into real!

My fucking local cut out for a second, after they leave the house, till that cop comes from behind his car door :(

Tense, but it might be getting worse :lol

I shot people I like more for less.
This episode really showed how good the cast is. There was hardly any Reese, Finch, Shaw, or Root, yet this episode was still so damn good because Carter was fucking awesome.

Damn, so good. In lesser show Carter would have gone through with it all alone, stupidly. But nope, she called the back up. Also..loved how she bassicaly used tactics straight from Reese's repertoir, first with the gas mask, then with drugs in the car.

And lol at Reese this episode, the hurt feelings when Shaw took his guns, the badass entry through the glass door and he's more awesome than Batman. Because Batman just disappears by himself, while Reese can do that with a partner and a wounded criminal :D

Also..Bear will be finally getting a bulletproof vest? Yeah!

This whole episode. Carter became the number one badass on TV in a single hour. Holy fuck. HOLY FUCK.

Oh my God.

I can only give my thoughts in random out of order GIF form.

Carter assaulting the drug shipment, and me being vindicated cause I fucking knew it was her.

Now seeing what the next 5 episode titles are:

Alot of vagueness in those, with tonight's episode being

Endgame - As already mentioned. Written by 2 men that seem to be mostly involved on Zoe episodes, including her first one, The Fix.
The Crossing - Written by Denise Thé, who has done a hodgepodge of episodes, decent ones, but nothing on the "big" scale. Did write the one about the Billionaire that took an interest in Finch, and the 1st episodes of season 2 and 3.
The Devil's Share - Co Written by J. Nolan and Amanda Segel, who wrote Witness and Flesh and Blood in S1 - Elias episodes, then in S2, wrote the valentine's day ep (Til Death) and 2 of the most important Machine episodes, Relevance and Zero Day. She also did Lady Killer, the Charlie's Angel episode. About the title:

"The episode title "The Devil's Share" refers to that part of human behavior that allows us to be cruel to one another, or refers to one person's inhumanity to another. It also refers to an individual's actions that are not good for him/herself or for others. Contemporary French author Denis de Rougemont argues that this is the modern-day manifestation of demonic forces in the world."

that ends the 3 episode arc, then:

Lethe - Written by Erik Mountain, who has done mostly Reese heavy episodes, and Root's first episode (before seeing her for real). Lethe is greek for "River of Forgetfullness, something about helping people forget past lives.
Aletheia - written by Lucas O'Connor, who has only done one episode, the Old People Money laundering via gambling episode. Aletheia is "Greek personification of truth. It describes the state of being evident, or unconcealed." Sounds like something becomes "unconcealed" or "becomes known."

Just wrote episode title, who it was written by (and what type of episodes they've done in the past), and guesses at the meaning of the title, which are vague as usual.

The wiki page also has a poll on it, about "which is your favorite current arc"

Not sure that "Shaw" is an arc, besides just finding out more about her past, but the main 2 are the machine and hr arcs, though Vigilance has come along fast, with a great villain character in Collier.

Oh, and Bear's actual name, is just as great. "Graubaer's Boker"

You are a greater detective than I.

If only she would have brought John and Finch in... seeing as how they saved a judge back in season 1.

I was really thinking that was gonna happen. And then Mr No Name picked up the phone, and I was like "He's dirty or dead." Hopefully that judge comes back, the one from Season 1.

know what would really help?

So my guess as to the hero who falls. Spoilered just in case people hate theories.
It's Bear, will probably save John or Finch. I kinda thought this might be the route they'd go before tonight, then John mentioned buying Bear a vest. That's like "It's his last day before retirement." Also, he's technically a main cast member.

Your posts are great, because in article about the upcoming episodes someone else suggested it and all the comments were pretty much the same as yours.
I don't want him to die, I'd like Shaw to be the one to go down... but that won't happen. It's Fusco or Bear and I don't want either!

I was so hoping that Carter didn't die while I was watching this episode. The way they fleshed out her character (emotionally speaking) led me to believe she will be gone at the end.

Hoping so much to be wrong.

I'm just saying.....Carter's story is almost completely tied up now. Son's taken care of, reconciled with the father, HR going down, vengeance for Cal.....just saying.

Maybe her ex is looking for a job.

Maybe it's a twist... I read an interview with Nolan. He never said anyone dies, just that there's loss and repercussions. I mean, for all we know,
Carter takes down HR but torches her career in the process.

Back up to 2.0 in the Overrated 18-49 ratings. Chicago Fire back on after 3 weeks, to a 2.2, but 5 million less viewers. Stupid Voice (though it was a large drop off)

I bringeth good tidings.

Ivy says it'll probably be renewed.

It's basically been renewed since Episode 1. One the syndication rights were purchased, the show is safe till it gets 80 or 100 episodes, whichever is the threshold, and that'll come in Season 4.

Oh god, that episode made it so obvious they're killing off Carter. They're wrapping up her arc. Please don't do it. She's my favourite female character on TV. I will be truly devastated.

Well, Reese's arc was pretty much ended by the halfway point of Season 2, and if the promo looks right, the next episode is about him, and his number coming up. Could see more of his past, what his real name is, etc. Another episode that "ties up loose ends", but this time for Reese. So I imagine we'll have the same feeling at the end of the next week. Comes across as 2 red herrings to hide what'll happen in the 3rd episode.

You have calmed me down somewhat.

Yeah, I reckon it's gonna be
Bear
. And to those of you who would genuinely prefer that
any of the human characters die before Bear, you need to reevaluate your priorities!
.

Also, shouldn't it be possible to tell who's alive later on this season, just by virtue of people seeing the actors film on location now and again? If you know when the episodes are produced, and see e.g. Fusco's actor at a shoot which takes place well after episodes 8 - 10 were produced, then you know he's alive.

!!!!!! this show !!!!!!

THIS SHOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D
