Instead of this being an opportunity to talk about WHY some would equate homosexuality to beastiality, he just gets toasted by some and defended by others. All the while assumptions are made on both sides without any real analysis of the issue. The point being is he is just parroting a belief that is very common in America. That is the real issue, not him.
