I am never going to be able to buy ANY cards YEEESH. Refresh go to buy already sold....

Guess I better just delete the cards I got!

If anyone deserved to win anything Valdis related it was you.
Yep, agreed - congrats, PJ. Your enthusiasm for the game is infectious, so a snazzy Valdis Story art book has definitely found a right and proper home in your hands.

I might still grab the game myself, but want to try the demo first - I tend to be horrible at these games (although I'm really enjoying Dust at the moment).
Congrats. You definitely deserved it after spreading the word on the game and giving out awesome reviews on it.
Aw, thanks. <3

oipic, if you haven't tried the demo yet, be sure to before time runs out!

I will say that Valdis Story requires much more skill (in combat) than Dust does (even on hard, Dust kind of runs on auto-pilot).

I wanted Rogue Legacy to come back, but now that it's here, I think I'll wait. If there's any game that's most likely to be in an upcoming Humble Bundle, it's that one.

Vibes.

Oh.
My.
God.

Anno 1404 is going to be patched! It's going to be put back up for sale! MY E-MAIL ACTUALLY WORKED!

Do me a favor and ask Bethesda for Prey.

Random question, if I organize my games by categories in the Mac client will the list look the same in the Windows client?

By the way, how come steam does not have Mass Effect 3? I have been out of what-is-going-on-with-steam businesses for a long time.

EA got into a snit and took its toys to Origin.
Except the old ones they keep discounting on Steam.
Even though that devalues their IPs.
Which was their excuse to take the new ones off Steam in the first place.
Even though everyone knew it was because they wanted to see more money from DLC sales by doing Bioware point-like bullshit and Valve wouldn't let them.

Oh, it ran pretty well if you hexedited the exe to fake having a Radeon, but still, even that might be too much work for Konami ;)
It didn't have good controller support tho, did it?
Or did they fix the keyboard "here's 50 buttons to emulate all the pressure sensitive stuff on the DS2"
It worked fine with a DualShock 1, once I mapped it properly. So I can't complain about controller support, which is probably the only thing I can't complain about this abomination of a port.

The keyboard controls are horrible. Even though I had first binded them exactly like MGS1 (which I played with keyboard without any problems), they felt terrible and unresponsive. If you're going to play this, getting a DirectInput gamepad is a must.

Which among the Track Mania games would you guys recommend

Stadium is a good starting point. But I don't know how online is doing, probably dead.

I almost said 'and so is EA' but seeing as they do sales of their old games all the time I guess they just don't want to lose face by admitting they f'd up when they went Origin-exclusive for newer stuff.

I guess I'll finally pick up Half Life 2 and the Episodes. Didn't like it when I first tried it years ago, but it's practically free even with the miniscule amount of Steam credit I have.

I'm not defending EA for not putting up games on steam. However I thought valve were a bit petty removing EAs games from steam because EA decided to do DLC through their own system.

So this time I've spent something like 40€, making it probably my most expensive sale ever, and anyway the two games I've bought that I'm mostly happy for are the two Sonic Adventures I got in the Sonic franchise bundle, even though I've already melted those gd-roms back in the DC days.

Damn you nostalgia!

oh man brothers a tale of 2 dudes is kind of boring so far

I'd agree it's not exciting, but, easily Top 5 games I played in 2013. Gorgeous and tough but true to life story. The underground part w/ the trolls is slow though, it opens up.

Brothers spoiler (only for those who finished it)

The valley where you
walk through the dead giants. How they set it up that you can see you're going to have to shoot the crossbow into the guy's head, I remember saying minutes before you actually have to do it. "Oh god, I'm going to have to shoot that guy." Great scene.

That and the axe chopping the other giants leg. That whole area was great. Fantastic. And the snow level. And the castle. Just...almost all of it. Except the first hour. That part is a slog a bit.

Of the non-free ones, United or Stadium. United has more content and (last I checked) a more active community, but the only environment anyone plays in it is the Stadium one. TrackMania2: Stadium has a few more bells and whistles, but it only has the Stadium environment, the ManiaPlanet menu is needless, and the community is not faring well.

Either way, they have their own account systems.

But without a solid rule on dlc sales whats to stop companies from putting games on Steam for next to nothing while making their money on DLC? With the growth of f2p Valve had to make this move. And besides I fucking hate having to go through another site to buy DLC for a game I own on Steam.

Well, this sale was the most disappointing I have ever been apart of. I spent less than $5, when I normally push my $100 budget I set aside to the max. It may just be that I am becoming more finicky, or perhaps I have just bought a lot of the items I already really wanted (though looking at my wishlist sort of disproves that).

Ah well, got 2 games I wanted for a fantastic price and was gifted another cool one. Even with this sale being down a little from my perspective, Steam still does holiday sales better than anyone else.

Have you seen the Bioware points DLC trainwreck for Mass Effect/Dragon Age?
That's some seriously anti-consumer bullshit that should get whoever decided on that roasted over an open fire.
