Are they charging for stuff a la carte yet?
If I still have to have HBO sub under some cable plan then no thank you.
Not anytime soon.

It didn't have Mr. Show with Bob and David
I don't understand why people can't appreciate that they're profiting significantly behind premium subscriptions. So much so, that Netflix is moving towards becoming more like HBO and not the other way around or the everlasting leader of a cord cutting revolution. Not anytime soon.
For Xbox you need an HBO cable subscription, or friends/family who have it and will give you their login password + Live sub.Do you still need a cable sub or just PS+ how does it work on Xbox?
Worthless because in order to use it you have to be subscribed to the cable channel
OH MY GOD YES PLEASE.
I was considering re-upping my XBL Gold subscription for another year just so I could watch HBO Go on my TV, but if I can watch it on PS3 then that won't be necessary.
I am confused--is HBOGo confirmed for PS4 or not?
I think it's a safe bet that HBO Go is coming to PS4. According to the comments sections on the PlayStation blog when Sony announced the PS4 launch apps lineup on Nov 7th:
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/11/07/11-digital-entertainment-apps-on-ps4-at-launch-2/
There was a section on the us.playstation.com/ps4/apps web page that showed apps that were coming soon after launch and HBO Go was 1 of them:
Woah now. The rest of us are subscribers, and it has a great deal of worth to us.
Has nobody tried the HBOgo Website on the PS4's Browser?
Sidenote: my PS4 has all these apps displayed that I have no desire to install, like crunchyroll. How can I get rid of those?

Microsoft is likely the one that's keeping HBO away from PS3. Their sister service HBO Nordic launched an app on Xbox 360 only even though the PS3 is heavily dominant in all countries it's operating in. That Microsoft money.
Don't hold your breath.I would get HBOGO if I could get it as a standalone package. I'm not getting a cable subscription.

Pretty sure you can get HBO subscription with Comcast Internet without a premium cable subscription nowadays. It's not directly through HBO, but it is probably as close as we are going to get for the foreseeable future, and it really isn't that bad of an alternative.
finally confirmed. No date yet

This seems thread worthy... or at least thread name change worthy.

I contacted a mod to change the thread title.
It does on 360 and Apple TV, I don't see why it wouldn't on PS3.Yesssss! I really really hope this works with DirecTV subscribers--it doesn't on the Roku which is really a pita. Would love to use it on my PS4 to watch Game of Thrones this year.
Great to hear! Dunno why it doesn't on Roku then, you still need DTV to get HBO in the first place...It does on 360 and Apple TV, I don't see why it wouldn't on PS3.
Once installed, the app allows most cable customers to stream their favorite HBO shows and a wide selection of movies. We say most because there's one major provider that isn't yet on board with HBO Go for PlayStation, and that's Comcast. Comcast subscribers are currently unable to stream any content using the app. The company's absence is especially glaring since most other cable companies have signed on — including Time Warner Cable, which Comcast hopes to buy if all goes according to plan.
