That's why one should only add people who belong to the Steam GAF group. Steam friend adding racism FTW!

I post in trading forums. So I don't know if they are from there

What's wrong with playfire support? 4 days ago I sent a request since the playfire credit didn't transfer to my GMG account, and it's still " Awaiting assignment to a support agent " lol

I dunno about that. I had someone add me who was in the GAFGroup who did just that.

Really? Wow! Well I would have no compunction at all about winding them completely up then.

Oh I see :/. That's why I left that group IIRC.

That's when you show their profile/chat log for all to see and have them expunged from the group.

That works too :).

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Freedom Fall Steam keys are now available for Groupees Build a Bundle 6

Bah, the devs said that the keys would be sent through Desura. I'll have to track down whoever took my Desura key and PM him/her the Steam key.

Edit: And done.

GetGamesGo has 10% off Hitman Contracts.

Does that mean you'd happily give me the money that's sitting in your bank account?

This is SteamGAF, son. All our money is in our Steam account!

Speaking of which, I hate foils.
They're always so full of promise, but the damned things never bloody sell or idiots rush to the bottom in an attempt to hit the non-foil price as quickly as possible.

Ask him if he wants to make $20 by getting me a key for the Impressive Founder Pack. ;)

I rarely ask him for games. He asked me if I wanted Magicka Wizard Wars, so I said yes. I am not sure if this key is a beta key or a genuine early access key which turns into a full game when released

Half way to getting enough games to give away again (I think I ushered in the era of massive giveaways with like ~50 last time? Shooting for more this go-around). Am excited.

Steam games I've been playing lately:

Banner Saga: Beat it in one sitting. It's that good. Could probably use a bit better design, and the final battle seems like a huge difficulty spike compared to the rest of the game on normal difficulty. Amazing experience; would totally buy Chapters 2 and 3 on launch. I tend not to buy games on launch.

Divinity: Dragon Commander: Durante was right. I think I would have preferred it if the RTS system was a bit more like Supreme Commander or something, rather than just "cap resource point, rush to build units," but... well, look, Dragon Commander's so good that I almost regret buying Banner Saga, because I could have spent that money on Larian's next game, Divinity: Original Sin. I thought Banner Saga was the exception to the rule when it came to me and single sitting sessions--I normally play for about an hour before I'm done--but nope, Divinity and I had a quality 7-hour session, and then I dreamt about playing it and figured out how to win, so I woke up and did so... for another three hours. This game, guys. I'm in Chapter 3 now, which is apparently the last chapter of the game, so it's a bit short.

Folk Tale: One can easily tell that this is an early access game. Doesn't communicate all its stuff well (figuring out how to delete a building, for instance), makes it hard to find soldiers (you're limited to 5, as far as I can tell, and it's hard to find out where those soldiers are--it kept telling me I had an extra soldier, and I found him by accident on the corner of the map). Navigating the map should be a lot quicker. There's a potential for this to be a fantastic game, but it's so incomplete right now that I almost regret picking it up. No idea how to beat the golem in the campaign--it kills all my soldiers.

Legends of Dawn: It's like Diablo without the polish. It's the kind of game you should only have because you picked it up in a bundle and oh look it's got cards you can sell. Not a good game by any means. Bad graphics, worse art, doesn't even do basic movement right, terrible intro... there's nothing good about what I've played of this game. It might be the greatest game of all time further on, but it opens way worse than even The Witcher.

Is Hitman: Contracts a sequel or remake? I keep hearing that Contracts is actually some sort of a remake to Codename 47.

A bit of both. It has most but not all missions remade from Agent 47 (they are a bit different from their original version as well) and I think 2 specific to Contracts plus the overall narrative framing.

Divinity: Dragon Commander...

That's so good to know. What about enemies being samey, does it get better later on?

Divinity DC is short? That's unexpected.

It sounds like they 'solved' the music issue in Hitman: Contracts by removing all the music, ambient and speech from the game altogether...

Finding a file called STREAMS.WAV in the retail version and placing it in the Steam version folder will likely fix it.

That's got to be a mistake surely. I know Square's fallen low in recent times but this seems odd even for them.
