This was inspired by Podcast Beyond doing their annual predictions, and I started thinking about what I would say if I were on the Podcast.

1. Persona 5 will release concurrently on PS3 and Vita- Surprisingly, I feel this is the safest prediction of my three. I very much doubt SEGA are going to look at those P4G sales on Vita then continue to bank on previous gen only. That just does not sound like their go.

2. The Order: 1886 will be delayed until either December 2014 or early 2015 - I'm thinking this game will have to be extensively showcased in the second quarter before and during E3 in order for it to be iron clad for this year. The fact we've seen virtually nothing this long after it was announced is probably not a good sign. If it does get delayed, it will absolutely ravage Sony's lineup for the latter half of the year.

3. Playstation Now won't launch on time in the U.S - I share this one with the Beyond guys. Sony are obviously banking a lot on this service so they're going to want it to work as perfectly as possible. If they feel they need to delay it, they will.

EDIT Honorable mention: Sony will officially announce the "indefinite shelving" (read: cancellation) of The Last Guardian.

I don't believe for a second you will see the Vita getting Persona 5. An upscaled version on PS4 is your best bet. The Vita doesn't have the capability to run a game that has PS3 assets, so they would basically have to make a completely separate game instead of just porting it.

I don't think you're going to be seeing this. I've got the feeling downscaling Persona 5 to the Vita won't be manageable without compromises, and Hashino's gone on record as being annoyed with the cutbacks P3P had to make. I'd expect a PS4 port before a PSV port.

1) When the XB1 drops price/Kinect, Sony will respond by lowering to $350

2) Uncharted 4 will release in mid-November, The Order will be mid-October

3) At least 1 unannounced AAA PS4 game will be revealed at E3 and release this year

4) The last Guardian will be announced at E3 for a PS3/PS4 release in March 2015

I don't think the Order can slip that far, due to Uncharted likely being out this holiday season. I think the latest it comes out is September. Could be a summer "dead period" game. I've always wondered why more studios don't put out games then since there's not much competition.

The PSP was a different beast, though. A lot less powerful. With the Vita, they should have to make less compromises, hopefully. Hell, look at Killzone Mercenary. That could have easily been a full PS3 game.

Sega is supporting Vita pretty well with PSO2 and Phantasy Star Nova actually. They're not averse to big projects on Vita, and P5 would just be a safe port and not an exclusive.

Completely agree with this, Knack will be first and AC4 will be a month before AC5 releases. I traded Killzone cos I expected it will be on PS Plus by the time I want to play it again but I'm not sure if they will do it while they are bundling it with PS4.

I don't see P5 Ruby on the Vita happening simultaneously but I'm actually torn on whether it would be cool. I'd prefer something so complex that porting it would not be possible So then I know it's using the PS3 to the max! Doubt it'd be that complex anyway.

Playstation Now might get delayed, but I don't think it's as likely as you think. The launch dates seem to have been very carefully and cautiously thought out, and I believe Sony has already allotted as much time as they expect they will need to perfect it. Also, it helps a lot that they're building on an established service rather than starting from scratch.

5) A third party exclusive is announce at E3. It's a cross-gen title.
6) Sony buys the Resogun devs.
7) PlayStation Now works surprisingly well but the subscription is expensive.

They will look at the sales, release it for the PS3, then for the Vita/PS4 a year later. Why make money once when you can make it twice/thrice ?

2. Agent for PS3 release date for this year, in time to be streamed via PS Now for PS4.

3. Sony and H-Hour developer partnership, SOF studios exclusivity deal signed, possible purchase of studio.

4. Guerilla Games announces First Person Shooter Role Playing Game.

5. Tourist Trophy by Polyphony Digital announced for PS4. Target graphics are jaw dropping. Polyphony Digital and Evolution Studios merge into one large racing developer studio.
