Probably in some altered/improved state, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet.
Of course there will be no confirmation of that anytime soon.
That's what I was thinking, there is no reason for me to touch this if it is just early access to the prologue.

$10 per hour
Konami milking Metal Gear, I'm quite shocked.
Guys I just got back from 1990, I can't believe I spent $40 on Mega Man 3 when I can beat it in just over an hour.
Barring the whole "charging money for a demo" thing, which is admittedly shady, when the hell did # of hours to completion become the metric by which we judge a game's value?
I just hope Phantom Pain comes out later this year instead of getting pushed into 2015.
Rising was 6 hours max, and was sixty bucks(more for me since I had to have that lamp). None of these games are really long, curb your expectations.
I'm really confused, can someone explain? Are Phantom Pains and Ground Zero different games? Which one is a signature title? Are they both signature titles or is one of them a spin-off like Revengeance?
If this sells well, I expect "prologue" releases like this to be come increasingly common over the next few years. We've already got Squenix talking openly about trying to monetize games before they finish development.

Played "through" implies completion and even if they did embargoes restrict review until release so that point is moot.
Their use of the word "through" is a pretty dead give away that implies they played start to finish. This game has probably been done for a while, at least the main mission.
That'd be nice. When is redbox getting PS4Bone games?

I like how everyone is talking like this game can only be bought for $40...

The one at night in the camp.
The one with the desert is Phantom Pain, which is, according to Kojima, 300 times larger than Ground Zeroes.
The rainy nighttime one. With other bonus missions set in the same location at different times of day.
Why not sell this part for $15 (or a $5 DD like Case Zero?) And then charge $45 (or $60 for the final game?
Edit: I'm assuming that the phantom pain is currently planned to have an identical price tag. Not $30/40 + $60...right?
If you don't skip all the cutscenes it's about 60mins. If you speed run it it's about 15mins.
Nope. There are platform-exclusive preorder missions AND format-based exclusives (physical will have them, nothing extra for the digital.

Let's wait and see what they meant by "through" before jumping into conclusions. And even if the main mission 4 hours long, you guys forgot that side-ops are side missions that adds to the main mission and reveals more about the main story. Side-Ops & Extra-Ops are two different modes. The latter are just bonus missions that are not story related.
is ps4 digital $20 as well? Not everyone wants to go digital and even then the 20$ (last-gen digital) is a little high for the amount of content that some people feel is in the game.
Are you sure you're talking about real time and not in-game time? Did you play it on easy?Revengeance was around 4 hours my first playthrough, one thing that mgs and action games have in common is replayibility, im sure ill go through every difficulty in ground zeros.
Ok all you doubters were right. I was wrong.

Of course Ground Zeroes is going to be included in the full MGSV: The Phantom Pain release, they would be excluding potential customers otherwise.
Konami is being intentionally vague on the subject. If they flat-out say that GZ will be included with the MGSV:TPP release, than that directly reduces the value of the original GZ release.
They are already having enough trouble justifying GZ's existence at that price point as it is.

This doesn't really bother me. I replayed the demos for MGS2 and MGS3 more than I can count.
