I still remember when I first saw that, and instantly wrote the game off as another jump on the Borderlands/Fuse co-op bandwagon. I was certain that's what it was going to be. Never been so happy to be so wrong.
Infamous:SS and Driveclub were planned as launch titles but had schedule slips and so ended up at 12-15 months. Maybe even longer for Driveclub as we still don't have a firm ship date. There weren't planned that way. Everybody's Gone to Rapture was shown at E3 2013 with the thinking it was a 2014 title, but the most recent rumors point to 2015. Again, likely due to schedule slips.
Schedule slips happen all the time in the game industry, so it's not something to get too upset over. The Order:1886 has the potential to be a wonderful game. I'm looking forward to more info in 2 weeks and hopefully pre-ordering when SCEWWS announces a firm release date.
The release date will be in the next trailer. Which we can expect this month.2 weeks to the next cinematic trailer - I'm confident it will be good.
We will likely get a release date at E3. Given the game has been running behind schedule, it's probably a 50-50 proposition it ships in 2014. 2015 is real possibility.
inFamous was never a launch title, always launch window which is exactly when it's coming out.Infamous:SS and Driveclub were planned as launch titles but had schedule slips and so ended up at 12-15 months. you've seen it? tell us what you know
I wonder if any of the media outlets will get an "exclusive advanced preview". Like IGN, for example.

Embargo on a preview, this is ridiculous.

Nah Demon said the date would be in the next trailer. And he works for Sony. Since the embargo is two weeks away I'm pretty sure we will get a new trailer alongside the previews.Ok...are you in the know? Vetted insiders or at least people with access to info need a tag or a different color name. Lol
Basically any preview you've read for a game was likely under embargo. They do that in order for the press to write the best preview or make the best video preview possible. Instead of just having a bunch of people scrambling to have the first preview.
2 weeks to write a preview article?
2 weeks to write a preview article?
@AndreaPessino: Getting a bit freaked out by the INSANE level of hype surrounding our game. Sorry, it's just a game, not a turning point for humanity.

They normally give the press about 5 days to write their articles. So probably staggered tours and the embargo allows everyone to release at the same time.2 weeks to write a preview article?

Global embargo. EU media already viewed it, US media is next week. Gives everyone a chance to release at the same time.
Two weeks, so that RAD can tour all locations and show the game to all journalists. US crowd gets their presentation next week.
Based on some of the posts in this thread, the US press won't get to see the game until next week. The embargo allows for them, the US press, to have time to post their previews at the same time.
Kinda Sony's fault for not announcing anything else. People expect The Order to be Sony's biggest game this year now if Uncharted doesn't make it. So this obviously creates big expectations. Hopefully RAD can meet them.@AndreaPessino: Getting a bit freaked out by the INSANE level of hype surrounding our game. Sorry, it's just a game, not a turning point for humanity.
That's what I expect. But thematically it looks interesting, so I'm still all hype!I can't wait to see all tears because The Order will be just TPS with more cutscenes.

I love the aesthetics of this game and its graphics, but I know in the end its gonna be just another cinematic TPS with the same gameplay as Gears.
I guess we cant expect fresh gameplay innovations from AAAs anymore.

Hype is a bit more escalated from a PSP game, thats for sure.@AndreaPessino: Getting a bit freaked out by the INSANE level of hype surrounding our game. Sorry, it's just a game, not a turning point for humanity.

We've already heard from an insider that the gameplay demo for "The Order" shown off brought out reactions on the level of the 2009 UC2 E3 Demo
This demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0evA4MIwuJk
So they most likely will be able to deliver an October/November system seller. (If marketed as such)
