Steam Summer Sale 2018 is Live! June 21st - July 5th

Had $80 in steam credit from selling Trading Cards and such, limit was that +$100, I still have some extra to spend.

Just a heads up Killer is dead has a weird bug with one of the boss battles IIRC on PC. You might want to employ a frame limiter because otherwise, you won't be able to beat him as the timing relates to the frames per second.
Thanks I'll get on that. What should I limit frames to? 30?

Prices have become so ridiculous especially for multi-entry franchises or port/retro games...I once again feel nice skipping this useless sale.

Got myself Vanquish (£5.10) and Metal Gear Solid Ground Zero (£3.40). Really enjoyed phantom pain so been meaning to get GZ for a while now. Also higher res Vanquish and 60fps is pretty awsome :D

I purchased the following:

SUPERHOT VR
Rez Infinite (for VR)
TOGETHER VR (for Rock, Paper, Scissors, of course)
Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition

I already had these games on my wish list. Glad I waited until the sale began to purchase them.

Any impressions on My Time at Portia? Think I might bite on it and I've been wanting something a bit like Stardew.

Nice. I see they've implemented a more streamlined approach to buying badge cards now as well. Anyway bought XCOM 2: War of the Chosen expansion which has been on my list for a while and also The Council which is a sort of Telltale style game but have very good reviews. I dare say I'll be picking up a few more games over the next few days as well.

I finally went ahead and bought War of the Chosen as well and can't believe it's a freaking 30gb expansion......

This year's sale is all kinds of amazing! So many great deals.
If I get my cash in soon I'm probably going to buy Zero Escape: The Nonary Games, World of Final Fantasy, Tales of Berseria, and Star Ocean: Last Hope HD.

Agreed. A lot of great deals right now for certain games. Dropped a pretty penny today but got some great games I have been meaning to buy.

Saw screenshot and figured you were reiterating how crappy the sales were... then scrolled down and saw you were actually commending them. Whatever floats your boat.

I got GTAV and AC:Origins for about $40 bucks. Good enough for me.

I guess I never noticed the good sales used to be because they seem BAU to me.

I haven't seen the prices any lower for the games I got today than with this summer sale. So yeah, feeling good about the sale.

Been waiting for Observer to go on sale, because it rarely does. I finally caved in. Eyeing Into the Breach, but I barely have time to play the games I do have. Feels like another steam sale.

What were you expecting? 5 dollars for AAA games released last year?

For those who experienced the early stages of Civ VI, do you think it has reached the point of being worth a buy? I'm one click away of getting it but would like to hear your opinion beforehand. Thanks GAF!

I grabbed Fight'n Rage and really like it. Also picked up Vanquish but haven't played it yet. Too much of a backlog so will grab some stuff on the next big sale I suppose.

Welp, this might be the first sale I don't buy anything. Seeing 25% discounts on games that have been out for years. It's probably cheaper to buy physical versions.

I think it was always worth a buy. There've been some improvements, but most of those are concentrated in the expansion, so you might want to get that too.

if we're doing cheap recommendations, I've just played through Refunct. It's really short, I think less than half an hour, but it's a chilled, fun platformer. I'm guessing it's a $1 in the Us, it's £0.65 over here. Easily worth that

My Time at Portia is pretty rad so far. This game might possibly become a bigger thing than Stardew Valley.

Definitely pick it up for $15 if your into Stardew, Harvest Moon, etc. It's like a full 3D game world of that genre done right. It needs some polish but the world is absolutely massive and beautiful. Tons of stuff to do as well.

I picked up Baldurs Gate 2 enhanced edition and Fallout 2 for classics I've been meaning to play and will also run on my laptop. I also got The Witness which looked cool. Can't complain about regular, reliable sales.

Lethal League is really cheap and it's awesome. It's like Vs fighting baseball and it's awesome.

There was a time me and a co worker used to play the web version of this all the time during breaks. This version has more characters and features and is really worth the price

I usually stay away from steam sales or any sales for that matter. this time around I hopped onto FTL and x-com 2 war of the chosen. Both games were overdue for me. I was gonna buy Mass effect andromeda and titanfall 2 the other day on their sales, did the free trial. Titanfall 2 literally crashed my computer 2 death and mass effect andromeda was painfully boring and awkward looking.

any opinions on doom vfr, skyrim vr or fallout 4 vr?

I've played the new doom on pc (though not in VR obviously), and thought it was great. have never played skyrim or fallout 4. have a good rig (7700k, 1080ti) and an oculus, the oculus hasnt been used in a while and id like to change that

I have thoroughly enjoyed Skyrim VR on PSVR. If you like the exploration aspect of open world fantasy RPGs, it's definitely worth the sale price.
