2011 US Open Thread of Pushin' it to the Limit

Great tenacity from Isner, good break of Murray's serve, but I really don't think he has the fitness to stay in this match. He has such a big serve because he's tall, but for the same reason, he can't hang in these long matches like Murray can. =/
 
Physically, for a tall guy Isner is in good shape. Very lean. He's just so lethargic-looking all the time, and there have been about 500 balls this game that he could have gotten if he had at least reached for them.

I bet he partied too hard last night.

Yeah, I agree he's looked tired right from the get-go.

I think he's in as good shape as he can be for his size. I just think that his genetics are against him when it comes to endurance. He runs out of fuel quicker than "smaller" guys.

I hope he didn't party...but hey, he is a University of Georgia graduate... ;p

Yeah, they said he was going to call the trainer after his service game.

EDIT: Ivo Karlovic has the fastest serve at 156 mph.

what is the outlook like in the Roddick/Nadal match? Does Roddick have a chance?

he does, their hardcourt matches were always close. this surface helps his game against nadal and nadal didn't look that sharp all tournament long. if he serves well he has a good chance.

i see him lose in 3 anyways but i hope it goes 4-5 atleast.

He doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks. That's what's amazing about Murray, he could win the US Open and in the post-match interview he'd still be like "Yeah, I played alright today. Think I deserved to win probably. See you later."

Genuinely think he may have Asperger's or something because he actually seems like a nice person when he's posting on twitter.
 
I'm sorry, but those errors in the tiebreak were just... :S.

Oh well, I really wanted to see Isner make it to the quarters, but no worries, I still got my Joker to root for.
