If gaf had a fundraiser to upgrade the server(s) I'd happily chip in. It really needs it. If it's not 500ing out then it's giving me flashbacks of the days of dial up. The horror!

Whatever the case, it would just be nice to see some upgrades (they do have ads on the site which I'm sure generate some sort of revenue as well).

Honestly, I'm sure if people were allowed to post it, they'd have done it by now. And believe me, I've searched. I can understand, though. The IRC channel I'm on used to be a big part of Bungie.net's community. Now we're not, but links are floating around to the channel, so new people keep coming in who we really don't want in. (Or, rather, who I don't want in)

I'd still love a PM to the place, but I don't know if I've been around GAF for long enough to be accepted.

I'd been hearing a lot about this "NeoGAF" place, so I went to check it out. It seemed like an okay place (sort of scary, lots of moving pictures and banned people), and news was posted really fast there. So, I decided to sign up. Well, then nothing happened for a few weeks. I finally got my account activated, but I had a tag that said "Junior Member." Well, for a while people laughed at me because of my tag, and made fun of me routinely. But after a while, I opened GAF and I had a brand new tag. So, since I got my "member" tag, I'm usually treated okay, and only really make fun of me for typos. Back in the day, when I had my old tag, if I said something weird, people would just laugh at me for being "a junior," but now they just post my avatar. So I guess it's cool.
