Ew I hope not. Nice scripted scenes, but that resume offers no credibility as a gameplay designerPresumably the lead game designer for UC4.
Responsible for the collapsing building and alley car chase in UC2.
The Plane crash and desert in UC2.
And the beginning chapters of TLoU.

I wish her the best, but I'm still woried about how car this thing was into development. She still wrote it. She still worked closely with the people that are still working on it. I loved her influence on the series as well, I really did, but this is more likely something related to farther in the studios future than Uncharted 4. The studio still has a lot of talent, some of which just recently joined in their hiring spree last year and they could have little genius moments like some of the ones you mentioned. I just hope she finds a good place to go after this and that her departure wasn't as bitter as the article made it sound.
Just looking at her Twitter, it seems a bit odd in the span of a month she went from talking about Uncharted, congratulating the TLOU team and being extremely happy for them to 'being forced out.'
Whatever, Straley and Druckmann are the real talent of ND.
I dont care even if you do(which it seems you do) hate UC3, UC2 fans always talk about fighting in that collapsing building.Ew I hope not. Nice scripted scenes, but that resume offers no credibility as a gameplay designer
I never played the Kain games and I think TLoU is the best thing ND ever did, so I feel bad saying it but I'm actually more excited about U4 now...

this is the worst news I've heard in a very long time
Amy Henning was the only reason naughtydog was worth a damn for me. I'd rather have Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley leave than Amy.
This is fucking bullshit, if they really were behind her departure I will never buy a game of theirs or naughtydogs again.

UC3 is actually my favorite one.
Love that desert.

To give you some insight into what I want out of Uncharted 4; Uncharted 2 had some great moments(had some less than great also) but what stayed with me the most wasn't the train or any single shootout(those all seem to blend together) it was the moments in gameplay where Drake climbed up the latter and the Geri moved in the forefront. During gameplay.
Moments like that were what I wanted to see more of in Uncharted 3, and it seems UC3 was full of them. I dont want that gone for UC4. A lot of devs would usually just use a cutscene but I loved UC3 because it tried to keep as much story in gameplay as possible all the while framing it in various dynamic ways. TLoU didn't have much of that, hell, it felt like Druckmann resorted to a cutscene whenever he could.
.
I love holding forward on the analog stick as well.
I want to hear what Arne has to say about this.
I know, bro!UC3 is actually my favorite one.

This.
So did not see anything like this coming, loved her work on Uncharted![]()
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that this isn't a serious post.
Giraffes, Injured Joel Gameplay, and the two bookended sequences come to mind. That's just about it though.TLoU had a shitload of story delivered through gameplay.
Because they did something not comparable to Uncharted whatsoever?
The Last of Us is like an indie film compared to Uncharted. Both have their own style.
But I guess since The Last of Us is just The Shit now, everything else is fucking crap.
The filler graveyard/cruise ship section was all the rave for a while too.
Nah. The presentation is excellent in their games and the gameplay is fine for the genre. Certainly much better than anything Telltale puts out. The writing was severely lacking and they are fixing that right now with hiring more talented writers.i don't think it's possible to plug plot holes when you handle plot like they do. If anything they need a new director and designer to give the gameplay some meat, and the presentation some polish.
She already wrote 3 movies so far. So she should be fine lolNor making movies..
I know, right!Damn, those are some of the best moments in all those games.![]()
wooow at the author of the article taking those jabs. he's the MS guy at IGN right? mr. can't tell the diff between 1080 and 720? smh.
No fool, because they also directed Uncharted 2. TLOU and UC2 are by far ND's best games.

Uncharted 3 outsold UC2. Significantly.
So it doesn't matter to you at all if they release a quality game? The only reason you would purchase a ND game is because Amy was involved?Juliet's 8½ Spirits;103217321 said:I'm 100% serious
...and without Amy's talents, I wonder what Uncharted 2 would have been like.
That this news hasn't immediately been followed up with word of her moving to another Sony studio is particularly telling.
Seems that if she was forced out she doesn't feel Sony AS A WHOLE had her back and doesn't feel comfortable staying anywhere in their corporate culture.
If this were just internal to Naughty Dog I'd have expected Sony to have bent over backwards to get her working elsewhere in their studio structure. So either they didn't - meaning they're fools - or she didn't want to be at Sony anymore, period.
