got2bekidding said:I put it on mine when I got my phone about a week ago or so. Having to do that pattern thing every time to unlock my phone is annoying (especially when listening to Pandora in the car), but I guess it's worth it if I ever misplace it. Plus the thought of bricking your phone from orbit is kind of cool. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't an official Android one out there.
Well holy shit. :lol Thank you so much for that awesome information. This makes my phone experience so much better.gcubed said:once you have the pattern on you can go on the website and disable the pattern from your phone, this will let you go on the website to re-enable it if you ever lose your phone. So just go disable it, if you ever lost it, first thing you do is enable the pattern lock and then track it

Side note I just check all three on desktop, is there a better way to link these up but still have them separate. Should I use mac mail app or thunderbird?
In 2.1, you can sync with multiple gmail accounts. You can use either the Gmail app or the stock Mail app and just hit Menu > Accounts when you want to switch from one to the other. You'll still get notifications for each one though, as long as you have them setup to sync automatically.movie_club said:What is the best way to manage numerous email accounts from a droid. got2bekidding said:I was just on the app store looking for the new version of google maps, but I guess since my phone isn't 2.1 yet, I can't see it in the app store? I'm new at this stuff, so I'm throwing out my guesses to get feedback from you experienced users.

Ahh, good stuff. Thanks for the reply.Raydeen said:If you have one of the past revisions of Google Maps the navigation is alread there - I know it doesn't make sense. I looked and looked but couldn't find it then found a site that indicated it's 'there' for newer builds of Google Map. Tried it out today. Works very well.![]()

HTC desire has a ringtone creator built in. works perfectly too. You should hunt down the apkbasik said:gotta recommend: Ringdroid
http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.ringdroid
free app "Create your own ringtone by editing a music track in your library, or record a new one directly from the phone." also can make notification sounds and alarm.
I used it to make these 2 ringtones:

Whenever i click reply on the htc desire it takes me off to the full neogaf website, whereas on my iphone it stays within the web app.
It seemed a bit hard to get going when I tried it, turn off all apps that use the internet using something like taskpanel and try again.Totakeke said:Does anyone know the exact steps to set up bluetooth tether using PdaNet? I can't seem to get it to work.
Make sure your User Agent is set to Android or iPhone. Its in the settings for your browser.DefectiveReject said:Sorry for the double post but it aint me its this damned neogaf app.

I also have Swype, which is the best text input method today if you learn how to use it. I also have the HTC touch keyboard as well.
A few of these I am just testing, and a have a selection of "baby apps" for my daughter.
I don't really have any problems with any of my apps. Twit.tv does take a little while to load sub menus. I am going to see if creating a media fly account speeds things up.
