OP it sounds like Xbox One is the right choice for you since you mentioned that you've invested in the ecosystem some. You won't have any regrets witht he controller or the UI either.

You also mentioned you will be getting 2 consoles. Go for both?

Still having trouble here, mostly because we don't know enough and haven't seen enough as of yet. Right now, the PS4 is obviously the smarter long-term investment just going based off of Sony's preparedness and hardware advantage vs. MS, but that could change. Mostly because there's no real exclusive that's pulling me very hard either way.

I have a PS4 preordered, but I personally think the XBONE launch line up is superior. My feeling is by this time next year PS4 will be stronger, but for this Xmas I am not feeling the PS4's games at all. I have BF4 and AC4 ordered, 2 cross-gen games! as my first games on a new console? I don't think in my 25 years of gaming that I've ever done that. I've always grabbed the big exclusives, but the PS4 just doesn't have it. Killzone look "ok" and I hate racing games.
I guess I'm just super bummed at Infamous 3 being a 2014 game, that was my most anticipated game....meh.
Can't believe how much my hype for the new generation has deflated since E3.

I was definitely all about PS4! But then thinking about how much it will all truly cost with games and accessories I am almost thinking of waiting and see how the launches go. I want Killzone so bad though. I might just get a Vita and play good ol Dota to hold me off.

I've got both pre-ordered but one is getting canceled by Nov. I'm leaning 60/40 XBone because its offering something new with the hdmi input and the all in one media integration. It was also an easier sell to my fiance when she saw all the XBone dashboard features with kinect. I'll eventually get both, but I just feel like I would be missing out on a new innovative way integrating media/games on the tv if I didn't get the XBone first. My mind changes daily though. They still have commercials to run.

OP it sounds like you've already made your mind up and the PS4 is the way to go.

- You're not a fan of Microsoft's exclusives

- PS4 is $100 cheaper

- You don't like the DS3 -- which is fine, because many DS3 haters absolutely love the DS4 and prefer it over the Xbox One controller:

I had a little discussion with my gaming buds after E3 and we had all pretty much settled on switching over to PS4. I will get an Xbox One I am sure, but I will wait and see if they do a redesign/price drop first. Next year is a Wii U for my nintendo fix. My suggestion is to maybe go with what your friends will be playing? Both systems have some great selling points, just depends on what you are looking for.
