They raised the fucking UK prices again. 32gb was 600 pounds now it's 629, both were ridiculous anyway. Holding out for the 6 next year.

my iPhone 5 will be the last iPhone I bought, it's silly how the prices keeps going up for no reason, I doubt very much I would be able to go back to the small 5-5S screen as much as I love my iPhone 5, but since I bought the GS4 Google Play edition I'm totally blown away with the quality and smoothness of the Samsung... yeah iPhone is cool to take out and show coworkers in meetings and restaurants... but everyone has one now, I'd take the best experience and hardware for the same/less money and right now Apple is not offering that, I even feel silly to have wasted money in devices just for their brand.

Do you have an iPhone already. I'm so deep in the apple app/itunes ecosystem now I'd literally be throwing old money down the toilet if I shifted platforms at this stage.

I have a 4S. I skipped the 5. 5S seems pretty good to me, so I shall be pre-ordering a 32Gb sim-free on the 20th. Not sure on colours though. Not sure at all.... I've always gone black before, but the black 5 is nicer than the black 5S that's for sure. With iOS 7 being so white I might actually go white this time...
I do and that's the one thing holding me back.

I have an iPad so damage will be limited but I'll miss all of my apps.

The no pre order and price issue is really making it tough though.

seriously that 5C price hahaha my sides

after all the speculation about a budget iphone and for so long

#icant

Apple is ripping off Canadian non stop.

iPhone 4S at release: $649
iPhone 5 at release: $699
iPhone 5S at release: $719

Unbelievable... $719 CAD for a 16GB phone?

Honestly, I personally think anyone considering the 5C should just get a Nexus 4.

There was never ever in a million years going to be a redesign of the phone this year. It's an S model, they only bump the specs. If you want a bigger phone, wait until a solid number model comes out.

Also they don't do multiple screen sizes due to fracturing the user base and ruining compatibility between apps.

They could make a bigger screen with a resolution of 2272x1280. Call it 'Retina+' or something. That way, they could increase the screen size without losing app compatibility or decreasing screen ppi. I imagine that's what they'll do whenever they decide to release a phone with a bigger screen.

LOOK AT THE IPHONE 5S PAGE ON APPLE'S WEBSITE

IT STILL HAS GROSS LEATHER/WOOD/PAPER/FABRIC SHIT ON PAGES, NUMBERS, IBOOKS, ITUNES U, FIND MY IPHONE, AND FIND MY FRIENDS

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

That's something maybe if you keep it mint, otherwise the paint job starts to look like shit pretty quickly.

I started losing a little black along the edges a few months ago. It’s not much but it’s no longer mint looking. I was happy that it stayed “clean” for so long, actually. :)

Holy shit at those 5C prices. So much for an affordable plastic iPhone. Apple's just making the iPhone cheaper on their end and not passing on the savings to customers beyond the usual yearly price drop. Same price the 4S was last year when they announced the 5.

I was totally going to jump in at $400-$500, guess I'm getting the Nexus 5.

The 5s sounds like a good phone but its getting more evident to me that Tim Cook is just a bean counter and just trying to squeeze the money out of my pocket rather than adding value or things to get excited about.

I will definitely be upgrading to the 5S from my current 4. Fingerprint scanner is cool, and I'm not bothered by the screen size staying, I think the 5 has a rather perfect size for a phone I keep in my pocket.

Disappointed, feels like they've pretty much run out of areas to improve the phone - x64 support is huge but I doubt the kind of games I play on a mobile phone are going to need all that horse power.

I feel my current phone is pretty much perfect, so I guess it was unfair to expect anything more than incremental updates until a technology breakthrough occurs.

My black iPhone 5 looks pristine. Aside from the couple gouged I got when I dropped it. I don't get the same scuffing some people do.

twilight zone? twilight zone.

No, I know what 64-bit means in a desktop environment

I'm curious as to what the benefit would be to the iPhone 5S and the end user..

I remember an old Mac demo where they showed off 64 bit on the desktop by opening up a massive photoshop image and started showing off how fast it was scrolling around.

I think it’d be funny if they had the same demo for the iphone with Schiller scrolling through some ridiculous 2 Gigapixel image for, literally, ten minutes with his fingers.

5C should be £80/$100 less at least, it's replacing the awesome 5 and throwing bright plastic in our faces without a black choice, why the fuck is it so expensive still.

I'll end up getting a 5S. I've been loving Android lately, but I'm in the Apple ecosystem. Can't just switch.

Plus, I already have 4 other Android devices. :)

Wait, the 5s camera doesn't have OIS? Disappointing.

Well that's too bad, i was really looking forward to upgrading my insanely slow 3Gs. Gonna start looking for a cheaper Android device.

As a former 4s owner and a current Nexus 4 owner, I'd recommend you hold out for the Nexus 5 which is due any time now. It's going to be a great phone at a great price.

no 5s preorder what?

Nexus 4 is $199 out of contract. iPod touch is $300 and made from better materials. Come on.

Nexus 4 is sold at-cost because Google can afford to do that since they make their money on ad revenue, not hardware, and their cheap hardware is just a means to get you into their ecosystem of services and therefore looking at some ads.

The iPod touch has a worse processor, worse camera, smaller battery, and no cellular connectivity/GPS/etc.

Well, I have a unlocked T-Mobile USA iPhone 5, and I think I have about $350-400 left to pay on it. I could probably get that much if I sold it. So I could probably get a 5s if I wanted, but I dunno... I guess I'll hold off and just get the 6 next year. Nike Move has piqued my interest, though.

I have no idea why they introduced the 5C, giving us a worse end product than just lowering the price of the 5. Must have greater profit margins.
