Damn, updated my iPhone 4S, now I am unable to play my backup back, because I need iTunes 11.1 for Windows -,-

Anyone here, who can help me? :/

1) Back up my current iPhone data (duh)
2) Install iTunes 11.1 beta
3) Install iOS 7 GM

If you don't have the iTunes Beta you can still update, you simply can't sync your phone afterwards until iTunes 11.1 comes out presumably next week.
If you're on Mac OSX you can download the iTunes Beta here: http://atfdl.com/file/itunes-11-1-beta-2-mac/
There is no Windows iTunes beta available.

You hold shift or alt or whatever modifier while selecting restore in itunes and it should open a file manager allowing you to select the location of the file you downloaded.

Before the copy.com link went down, the file in the folder marked "iPhone 5 GSM" was just called iPhone5,1_7.0_11A465_Restore.ipsw with no model number. Surely that means A1428, right?

Yeah, after some research about what went wrong with my download, I believe iPhone5,1 is A1428.

Speculation, but last year the iPhone came out in September, and the iMac and iPad were released in October. They look to be following the same pattern for this year as well.

yes. i just finished installing with non beta, and now it tells me i need to install the beta to sync. which is fine as long as my stuff is still on it (checking now)

Unless you are on OSX there is nothing you can do besides wait. You can only sync ios 7 devices with the itunes beta. If you are osx you can just download it.
