After watching that trailer I realized the series benefits from the time gap. The characters not changing much drives home the theme of being in a state of arrested development.

That said, the trailer didn't excite me as much as I expected.

That said, the trailer didn't excite me as much as I expected.

I have to say that some of the jokes fell a little flat for me, especially with Buster. It seems they've made him even dumber than he was in season 3, LOL.

BUT, this is of course a small collection of clips and I highly doubt it represents anywhere near the funniest material.

It threw me off too. Its kinda weird seeing them all in HD now.

All the episodes on Netflix are in HD so it doesn't look *too* weird to me. The lighting is definitely different, but it's not really a negative.

If you haven't read the Arrested Development feature in Entertainment Weekly from 2-3 weeks ago, I'd highly recommend it! No spoilers at all, just a ton of hype telling me exactly what I want to hear. About how the story is incredibly layered, even moreso than the original series, specifically because of what they can do putting everything on Netflix simultaneously.

Michael Cera was personally convinced to come on the show by seeing Mitch Hurwitz's conference room with sticky notes and string mapping out the progression of the season, finally assured that it wasn't going to lose anything from the original.

The thing I find odd in the trailer, and something I was talking about with my wife the last time we watched the show, was how crucial the background music was.

It felt so odd to see a scene with Micheal and none of the trademark music in the background, I am really really hoping that's only for the trailer.

The wife and I just started our Netflix free trial over the weekend and AD coming back on the service had slipped my mind for some reason. I was thinking it was coming back on another network. Anyway, so happy we get to see this. Now to introduce her to the entire series.
