like R6Rider said, you dont need to get the premium battle pass. actually it's easier than ever to get since if you're just doing the normal free battle pass, it'll skip the tiles that are locked in the premium battle pass. so you only need like 3 or 4 tiles on the first path. just doing the week 1 challenges gives you more than enough to unlock it.

They give you catchup challenges to unlock them like in BF2042.

I've been shelling out for BF Pro or whatever it's called. I got 762 hours on Steam logged on this game, and really not that many of them this week. I'm at tier 55 out of 110 on the Battle Pass, even if you cut out the 25 tiers you get for Pro and the 15% XP bonus I'd still easily have unlocked the M16 already since I think that's about 14 total tiers.

Redsec, I dunno, the ranked mode was pretty good fun but I'm not rolling 4 deep so it can be frustrating. And there are soooo many Redsec regression bugs. Disappearing tank keycards are back. UAVs that scan nothing are back. Rewards being completely different from what was advertised on the mission screen are back. And blinding lighting bugs that completely ruin your match are back too just for good measure.

I played some yesterday and was having terrible ping which has never been an issue for me. Like spikes up to like 300 bad. I'm excited to play more as Golmud is still great.

Definitely not you, it's from the game's side as I've been having the exact same issue lately. Comes and goes.

But it's a grind to unlock stuff.

Not much of a grind anymore imo. I already have the m16 and almost got the ak aswell. You get much faster progression than before and all the weapons are on the first page of their BP. As soon as you get the weapon just switch to the other path. Just play the game and enjoy, you'll get them eventually. Its not a big time commitment

Nah, I can't even play a full match after the weapon change. I used to be mostly in the top 3–5, and now I'm always near the bottom. That's not weapon recoil. It just goes all over the place besides the target. Also, it doesn't feel fluid while moving.

I am level 37 now and I am always the lowest level guy on the team. I can't catch up without spending more money. Fuck the grinding.

Battle pass was absolutely fine last season. You can finish most of it just by doing the weekly challenges (remember you can also get the hefty bonus if you do at least 6 of the challenges during that particular week).

They listened to feedback and most challenges are really simple now like "kill X number of players". Many challenges also stack so you can be working on multiple at once. You should not need to touch the BR mode at all to complete any challenges.

I've been able to almost wrap up a weeks worth in a solid 2-3 hour session of normal play.
