Nope, not just you. It says I'm joining a game and then brings me back to the join game screen.

Make sure you select a storage device when you first get to the title screen. It will let you search for a game but won't let you join if you skip this.

Keep trying. It happened to me for a while. Once I did get in... so awesome :D .
 
Just so you people who are looking for a key know, if you have an EU Xbox & LIVE Account, you can still use a US key by creating a US silver account (It worked for me).

I've played 3 games so far (can't get into any games atm), seems good but the framerate is really noticeable after playing so much COD4.
 
I played for about half an hour this morning. There really is no hesitation to throw you in the fray. So while I am trying to get the controls down, I am having explosions and bullets go right past me. A truly frantic pace in this game. Once I got the game down somewhat, I was having a blast. But let's not kid ourselves. This is not exactly a new game. It is team deathmatch with a few points of contention thrown in.

I am loving the graphics and sound. For such a huge playing area to look so good, I am very impressed. So many things moving, exploding, etc. without any slowdown at all. Incredible.

It is fun, it is alot of fun. Just really feel very overwhelmed alot of the time. Like with so much going on around you, and you really have little power to do anything about it. I guess with actual teamwork that could be rectified, but for this beta, it is just a ton of action everywhere. I like it, but I could see me getting bored with it pretty quickly since building your rank seems to be the only incentive to keep going.
 
I wish I would've stayed in the last room I was in. Quit out to get some food and now I can't get back in. :(

Played 2 games so far.
Looks dull & washed out and lots a brown.
Was getting ready for work so did not put much gameplay in.
At least the controls are similar to COD4. So I can play either. Gotta get my sea legs everytime I switch between COD4 controls & Halo3 & BF2: MC.

A US-key works on a european Xboxlive account as well, with no need to make a us live account. It worked for me and several others. =)

If someone has keys left, you can send them to me and me and others will greatly appreciate it and thank you - there's still some guys out in the cold in the danish community. (about 12 more guys badly needs keys) =(
 
Got one game in until the "Defenders Won" screen froze up on me and I had to reboot. So far, I'm not really feeling it, but hey, I guess I could get used to it.

By the way, jet, what's your GT?

My US key didn't work on my UK account.
 
I like it - feels like a good version of BF2 for consoles....though don't attempt to fly that stupid helicopter haha

was playing non-stop for a couple of hours, no lag ... and now it seems to not be able to connect to anything

I'm experiencing the same issues with the beta. It seems as EA has some homeworks to do...

yea i cant connect to shit, the searches dont stop now, I have to quit to DB to get out of search

edit: finally gave out in a search. They are trying to resolve the server issues

Eh, they probably only have the gold hunting mode because it's a beta – the CoD4 beta didn't have all the modes the final version had (like Ground War, Headquarters, Hardcore, etc). But if it's not in the final game, I'm canceling my pre-order, period.

I'm likely one of the biggest BF:MC fans on this board, and I can't really get into it. I used to be a fucking demon in helicopters but now it's really cumbersome and sloppy, even when I tweaked the controls to what it was like before. And there's no map on your HUD which means you don't know where to go or what to do and the like. And there's like five different colored dots, one for each soldier... and it took me forever who the enemies were. It's just messy and chaotic.

It's really pretty, though. Seeing a tank (which at first almost looked real) shoot down a palm tree, then having it crash into a house and having the wall crumble is very cool. And there's also sprinting and aiming down the sights (w/ CoD4's trademark depth of field effects).

But, from a gameplay perspective it's not that hot. Obviously I'm going to play some more to get more of a feel from it, but for now it's somewhat disappointing.

In ranked games, yeah. When you level up you get points that allow you to unlock the other guns and items.

'Cept for the "buy @ marketplace" guns of course.

Hey, it's my first day off my BS ban... some one hopefully has a heart.

I got a pretty high rank in BF:MC and am GEEKEd for this. Hell, I still dig up BF42 and play tha. I became a pretty damn good pilot. (Bomber especially)

Took me a little bit to get used to color dots and what that meant, but once you get it - well its easy. Hardly something that will be a problem if you play for more than 1 hour. What do you mean there is no map? The map seems to work just fine on mine.

I think the game takes a bit to get used to, but once you do its pretty simple.
 
Wow, this is really annoying. All i want is to play a game. Iv been searching for 30 mins now and still no game.
 
Wow, it sounds like a lot of you aren't feeling this beta. I only played for about 20 minutes this morning, but it seemed like a super fun sandbox game. The building destruction is fun, the frame rate is solid (although not 60 fps), the sound effects are awesome. I think it plays better than frontlines, and this is only a BETA, so I have really high hopes.

The only thing that has me scratching my head at the moment is how squads are set up. I don't understand why they don't allow you to create your own squads of 4. The ever changing squad does not seem to be conducive to teamwork.
 
Well, what can I say, I try to do people a favor, not everyone knows english. And I make it very clear that I owe those back who give me one or several beta keys, I am highly thankful myself even though I don't get anything out of it. =)

I am feeling the game, but at the moment it just seems like a big mess of people running around and to really accomplish anything you need teamwork, I think. Now it is a mad rush to the vehicles, drive up to get shot, re-spawn, rinse and repeat. I did enjoy the game, but it just seemed kind of shallow, short-lived fun. The full game might open up new avenues of fun though.
 
yeah I can see that. I bet once the first day frenzy calms down, we'll see some more team work and some great matches.

It'll be a whole lot better once people start working in teams and coordinate with each other. From what I've seen, a few people are just now starting to unlock the good stuff. Airstrikes and the like. The vast majority don't even know what they're doing.

For the 4 or so hours I've been playing today, I heard someone say something only once. And it wasn't even a language... :lol
 
Anyone know the specifics on how you get certain guns, or do you just unlock them once you reach a certain rank?

But seriously, I assume its like COD4 where you unlock more stuff as you rank up.
 
I've only dabbled in the BF franchise before, but people talking about teamwork making the game a shitload better are most likely correct. I know that's how it's been for the entire life of the series.

Which is probably why I've never got into the series before.

I've heard someone cough. Except that no one talked in all the games I've played. :lol

And some of those criticism are kinda unfair. The servers have been online for what? 5 hours? Obviously everybody will run around shooting grenades and blowing up walls. Wait a couple of days and it should be more coordinated.

But seriously, I assume its like COD4 where you unlock more stuff as you rank up.

You get "Unlock points" as you rank up. You can choose what you want to unlock with those points.

Well, you have limited choice of where you spawn. You either spawn at the base or you spawn behind the teammate you're looking at via the action in the background.

The base spawn moves depending on if a team has "won" a new base site. If you spawn into a gunfight, it's pretty much your fault.

It seems like you get an unlock token per rank gained. Then you just go to the "unlocks" screen at the MP menu and get what you want.

No argument there. I just don't get how people expect to see the full potential of it when it's still really early. As I said, most don't know what they're doing and haven't unlocked the stuff yet. The no teamwork thing doesn't help either.
 
I think you guys are right. This game needs some co-ordinated team play. Anyone looking to get some team-based playtime with this game (not that I know what that means yet, but we can come up with something in-game), plz add me: GT: Shihab

Also, anyone notice when you "zoom" into equipment rather than guns in the unlock menu, they zoom straight past your sight into nowhere? :lol
 
Still can't get into a game...

As far as teamwork goes I tend to enjoy games where teamwork and communication is a must. It's why I love Search and Destroy so much in CoD4.

Ill do a team coordinated match later :)
 
Well you can't invite anyone anyway..I tried in ranked and non ranked matches..

I got stuck playing my first match with a bunch of dudes who didn't say nothing, and we kept losing..i hate being on the losing team and you hear me shouting someone get the tank over there and noone does shit. Or when I have a great sniper spot some dude with a assault rifle sits next to me and starts shooting at the enemies giving away my position..ugh

I really want to play this with XBL friends so you can at least have some good teamplay. I can't get into any more matches now either :(

Yeah, there's XP. You need a set amount of points to level up and will unlock new weapons or items like laser guided air strikes, anti-tank mines, sticky bombs, gps transmitters to mark mortar targets, medkits etc.
