Beautiful pictures of gaming hardware

tiny lil fans. the dawn of accelerated 3d graphics.

You know, I'd love for one of those cheap decal sellers to do something easy and stylish like this:

but instead they intend on (not) selling me something like this:

I just don't get it. Don't those sellers have any taste whatsoever?

haha i see this shit all the time; still in the market for a good phatty PS3 one (if for nothing else than to keep off the dust) but instead of something sexy like the japanese yakuza 3 PS3 i get tits, NFL, mario and spawn

The Sega Mark III (Japanese Master System) was nice too... and released in 1985...

Oh yeah! It's got this 80s-Giant-Robot-Anime look to it and looks completely badass. I also love the color scheme: dominantly black and white, with the perfect little Sega-Blue and a dot of yellow to liven things up.

I need to buy one at some point.

You mean two pages, right?

And, sorry, but those cubes remind me too much of toasters or chintzy microwave ovens to be awesome. :s

EDIT: Also, plz quote pic for size.

I suppose that's down to my gaf settings.

I get the comparisons to microwaves, etc.. but that chrome/mirrored finish and glowing blue controller ports are just amazing.

How does it hold up with dirt around buttons or directional pads???

I want a white one but did not buy during the holiday, Now i cannot find that shit
It's pretty low maintenance - a case, microfiber cloth and blowing around the PS and Select/Start buttons is enough to keep it in good condition. Here's a shot I just took this morning:

Another couple of pictures from me that I think are pretty nice:

Best dpad on earth:

Agreed, and sony needs to use the same tech on the new dual shocks, the current deaign does not feel as smooth.

Getting a crazy amount of nostalgia in this thread for some reason, keep posting those sweet pics.
Absolutely gorgeous thread.

Oh man, I wish I had a white Vita. My black one looks like it's been jizzed on countless times over no matter how much I clean it.

I would buy this at a ridiculously high price.
I was talking about this before the Wii U release, i just don't get why they don't release some high quality skins (maybe in aluminium). Nintendo could get some good cash with thematical ones like in the picture.

Also console manufactures should really consider making premium versions of the consoles, with higher quality materials and sell them for a even bigger profit.

This thread makes me want a Vita. I love beautiful industrial design.

Dayam. That's a good skin.
I did mean an actual Nintendo Wii U though, with real metal etc. Like the Famicom GBM.

good price too, just need to see an NES skin now

Agreed. I always thought Nintendo should have released the Panasonic Q in America as the 'GameCube SP'. It would have shut up all the 'it doesn't play DVDs' and 'lol kiddie handle' arguments. GameCube is the most underrated console of all time IMO.

The vita is the best looking handheld ever.

They should just put new tech if they ever make a new one and improve the design slightly if possible at all.

This question is a little OT, but since there was a picture of the Famicom on the first page:

Why does the Famicom - a console made for the Japanese market by a Japanese company - say "Family Computer" in English on the front?

I know in Japan products often have English writing on them, so this doesn't just apply to the Famicom. Any known reason or just a complex socio-linguistic thing?

I think it's because Famicom is a portmanteau of Family Computer.
