I just hope it plays better than the 2fps E3 demo...

Anyway, really looking forward to it, I really dig the visual style and like it's gameplay approach.

I wouldn't go that far. It may have not stacked up well against Dark Souls 1 (in my opinion), but it was still a pretty damn good game. The newer DLC is actually pretty awesome too. Being a weaker Souls game still makes it better than a large percentage of games out there today.

btw does anybody have that link where the guy interviewee/reporter was REALLY excited after his initial impressions of Bloodborne? I want to show someone the hype that is Bloodborne. Thanks FromGAF!
 
Goddamn I'm beginning to feel the hype (I'm grateful for tlou:R for keeping my hype tightly concentrated on it till now) and it's actually nice to know that a big part of my hype will be warranted this time with all the bloodborne gameplay. Really looking forward to that. Half the reason for my hype right there.

Just track down pretty much any Yoshichan post regarding Bloodborne and you'll get all the hype that you can handle. :p

The Souls series is pretty big now and a lot of people missed out on Demon's by not having a PS3.
A PS4 Demon's Souls HD Remaster makes a lot of sense.

If only I could go to Germany. Who am I kidding, I would probably have to wait 4 days just to get to play. Shit is going to be packed with people wanting to play.
 
I wish the bloodborne trailer where it was called beast souls was still on YouTube. That's the best gameplay trailer Ive seen all year. Plus it's a fitting way to start the Gamescom hype train

It was good enough for me to play it twice and buy the DLC, but... yeah the gulf in quality is ludicrously large.

But hey, still a better sequel than MGS4. Could be worse.

It's a discussion for every thread. And the consensus of the Souls community is that Demon's and Dark 1 are both great, and that Dark 2 was a disappointment. The number of people who think that Demon's and Dark 2 are great and Dark 1 was a disappointment is vanishingly small.
 
Really hoping they take their time on this. I would be really disappointed to see bloodborne release at a janky 22 fps like DS2 did in PS3.

Because DkS1 was the (majorities) first Souls-game. It's the typical "First game in the series"-nonsense. DkS2 is superior in almost every way.

Not speaking for everyone, obviously. Some people actually thinks the DkS1 really is better - and isn't speaking from nostalgia.

edit: with that being said, no matter who quotes me and with what content, I'm not going to shit in this thread any further - so I am not going to quote you and continue this old mess.

For the record, I played Demon's back in '09 and bought Dark at launch. Slightly prefer Demon's for it's more consistent (and IMO stronger) tone and atmosphere.

I like you, Yoshi, but making sweeping statements like that seems kinda silly.

There's no correlation, as far as I can tell, between whether people started with Demon's or Dark 1 and which game they prefer. I started with Demon's. Most of the prominent Dark Souls YouTubers, like Epicnamebro, started with Demon's. Basically everyone agrees that Dark 1 is at least as good of a game as Demon's Souls, and is significantly better than Dark 2.

It's fine to be in the minority, but at least recognize that that's what you are.
