Hey sweet maybe MS can contract them to make a Halo game that doesn’t suck ass. Haven’t had one of those in a while.
Do you really think Activision had a negative influence? they probably put bungie on a pedestal, them getting to keep the ip is telling
Bungie is the only one to blame the state destiny is
Can you imagine if MS bought them and reunited the Halo franchise with them? Probably would help both parties, honestly.
Im not saying they shouldn't im saying that Activision probably did everything in their power to keep bungie happyWhy wouldn’t Bungie they keep that which they own? The deal was made to NOT have another halo situation.
Bungie has to be one of the smartest (or luckiest) developers in the business right now. Unbelievable.
I wish them all the best and have no doubt they have an intelligently conceived roadmap for their future. This will be an interesting company to follow no doubt.
Making the game a looter with rpg elements certainly gives a huge boost to pve replayability. Adding the pvepvp option is just awesome though. PVP on the other hand seemed pretty weak to me.Right?
People were skeptical about leaving Microsoft. And while there’s tons of denial... destiny is bigger than halo, and better to. Then again I always officially considered destiny to be the real halo sequel.
To see them grow to the point of being able to publish is really cool. The writing was on the wall with the netease deal they made earlier last year. Best of luck. I’m on board for sure
because sonys FPS games generally have been trashWhy?
The company becomes independent and the first thing people think is, “my platform of choice should buy them?”
Their games are already coming to both systems, so why do they need to be bought again?
Maybe they will shine more with their independence.
I'm just surprised that apparently Bungie has the money to make Destiny 3 on their own.
Halo: dead
Destiny: dead
Battlefield: dead
Call of Duty is still king baby. You can't mess with the king.
This is for the best. I don't think Bungie will be joining anyone for a while. They just removed their ball and chain.
This. I don't trust Bungie with Halo at all. Firing Marty and hiring a meme (Luke) tells you everything you need to know.I don't want them back at the Halo franchise. 343 has made a better online then they ever did and with how Destiny is now..

What a mess.
Didn't they put their games on PS4 anyway? Why does Sony need to do anything else?
Do you really think Activision had a negative influence?
Seems to me they have ambitions for the Asian market, NetEase investing $100m up front is a pretty significant initial move.
Maybe MS is buying them back
How so?
I think the idea would be for console exclusivity
Honestly, yes I do.
Don't get too excited. They've signed a $100,000,000 deal with NetEase to make non Destiny IP.
Until they split from that, I don't really consider them fully independent.
its probably this https://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-files-mysterious-trademark-for-matter/I forgot about that injection of cash they got from Netease. Bungie mobile games coming?

Activision Blizzard Stock Nosedives After Bungie/Destiny Split
While Destiny 2: Forsaken might have failed to reach Activision's commercial sales expectations, it still means that the publisher is losing a revenue stream.
So it's no surprise, then, that Activision Blizzard's stock price dropped dramatically after the news was made public. Investors were seemingly spooked at the idea of Activision Blizzard losing a revenue-contributor.
The company's share price fell by almost 7 percent in after-hours trading today on the New York Stock Exchange. The news was released after the stock market closed, so it'll be intriguing to watch the share price tomorrow when the market opens.
Diablo mobile .Maybe if Activision had kept the IP they could have put a competent developer on it.
Unfortunately it'll just be Bungie continuing to destroy their game.
