Oh two other things that annoyed me:

- why was Giant Ant Man moving in slow motion?

- Cap, Bucky, Black Panther running between, what, 40 to 60 mph down that tunnel during the chase scene? Looked bad and we've never seen these characters run with Flash like speed like that, right?

Maybe it he moves slower because it takes longer for electrical signals to reach his nerve endings? Most large animals move slower because of the Square Cube law, but I dunno how that applies to Pym Particle magics

Uhh, the Flash can run far faaaaaar faster than that lol

"On your left"

Also Cap runs down cars in The First Avenger

Haha and oh, that's right. Still looks kind of hokey.

Giant things don't move as fast regular-sized people.

Haha, why is that??

Ok, maybe not Flash-like, and I guess because their legs aren't moving as fast as a person running 60 mph should? It's very off putting. Almost like those flat escalator walking paths you see in airports? It was like they were running on one of those...and probably were to make that scene.

....I like this explanation. I'm going to use this in my mind to justify it when I see this again :)

Yeah the Flash has that speedforce nonsense, he can run faster than the speed of light.

We've seen Cap and Bucky run stupid fast.

As for Giant Man, I would imagine that's the explanation - though I think Pym particles make reaction time irrelevant. I think it's more to do with the fact that if he moved at normal speed at that size it would look weird or less powerful.

What about the conveniently placed camera- on a dark road, IN 1991- that filmed the whole Stark murder for Tony to see? lol

That scene with Bucky and Cap in the stairwell merking everyone...

The first thing we ever see Cap do post-serum is chase down a car.

Tony said he recognized that road, so it was probably on their estate, which would probably have cameras?

It was super cool of DC to let Deathstroke be in the beginning of the movie.
Yes, I know it's not Deathstroke. Just looked super similar with a different color scheme

because his body has to travel larger distances and in perspective looks slower even if his punch is faster than it does at regular size.

Like for instance, seeing a bridge collapse looks in slow motion if compared to the same in a scale model.

edit: the opposite of this

When Scott Lang stepped out of the van I had this sudden moment of clarity...Paul Rudd is hanging out with all these superheroes...crazy.

How do the accords affect Spider-Man's film? He can't really be fighting baddies in NYC unless the UN gives him the go-ahead, no?

Come on. Lets be real. Dude cant help but be a fuck up.

Sorry. I'm not one that subscribes to the idea that he's some huge piece of shit. Only thing people hate more than BvS these days is Tony Stark. I'm just not there. Dude has been trying to right his wrongs for eight years. While being cocky? Sure..character trait. Being selfish? Fuck outta here..
This is definitely Tony Stark's best movie so far.
Yup..which says a lot of the writers/directors.

Just got out. Holy shit that movie was amazing. However, I'm not liking how they made Tony look like a fucking spoiled brat at the end. "That shield's not yours!" Fuck that man. I wanted to see Cap get his ass beat and he did up until that part. Yes I'm salty.

Even going all the way back to The Incredible Hulk when all the soldiers were running and super soldier serum Blonski was blowing past them at like 50mph.

Haha, well, why didn't he and Bucky put on the super speed when running to the Quinjet or in the airport for any of those scenes?

Enjoyed it but Zemo is kinda an underwhelming villian he's just a pissed off civilian from his family dying. No powers or anything.

Came back from the theaters, solid stuff, feels like a reaction film to BvS even if that doesn't make much sense really. Definitely feel like all the problems of this movie could have been solved if the Avengers hired a PR manager though.

Still feel like Tony could have used a bit more scenes to build up his character in this. Just not entirely convinced, especially with that backpedal when he went to captain america 'illegally' in russia.

The world security must have really depended on SHIELD with how easy it was to get that bomb van to that historic UN meeting lol.

Can someone give me a brief explanation for Black Panther? Not familiar with him, but the movie seem to make Wakanda seem like a poorish african country being bullied by the mean avengers when their king is basically batman with a stealth jet that can stalk iron man?

Also is he suppose to be more magical or tech oriented?

I actually enjoyed that part. He knew he couldn't out muscle the avengers. It's a bummer because that concept art looked so great but this version was just as good.

Wakanda is not poor, it's probably the richest and most technologically advanced country in the world. Maybe you mistook Nigeria for Wakanda at the beginning of the movie?

Cap was acting like a sixteen year old jackass. If he actually behaved like a grown up instead of a selfish, holier than thou asshole, everything would have resolved with minimal fuss.

And come on, super soldier serum or no Iron Man should have been able to break both Cap's and Bucky's bones in seconds.

Black Father's costume looked right out of Gekiranger. Thought he was gonna announce "ゲキブラック"

Seriously though, my prediction last month was
Unsurprisingly right. I was watching BvS and kinda looking some of the political stuff and i said that civil war is gonna be that movie but way better.

I posted spoiler free impressions in the OT; in short I thought it was terrific but the music was such a letdown that I felt like it hurt the movie in some ways.

I'm sold on Tom Holland though. I'm sold on Spider-man. PERFECT. PERFECT.

Actually was underwhelmed by him at first too, but thought Zemo was amazing when the last part of his endgame played out. Thought it was a great origin for what will be a more introspective, dangerously conniving villain.

What an amazing movie. It's up there with the first Avengers movie as my favorite marvel movies of all time. It got all the right notes as far as giving all the characters something to do, but still remain a Captain America movie at heart.

I just wonder what movie will resume the Captain's story. Of the upcoming ones:

Dr Strange (Nov 2016)
Guardians 2 (May 2017)
Spider-Man: Homecoming (July 2017)
Thor: Ragnarok (Nov 2017)
Black Panther (Feb 2018)
Avengers Infinity War 1 (May 2018)

It really looks like we'll have to wait until Infinity War to hear what happened to him?

I'm super torn on Ant-Man's new duds. The new ones don't look bad but the ones from his solo film were to classic and iconic. Hmm.

Either way this has pushed me over the edge on toy buying...I'll probably drop by The Disney Store and Toys R Us on the way home and pick up a figure or two.

You know...having Fantastic Four in MCU would be great right about now.

Set them up as a team that is more competent and well presented to the public than Avengers does so that they got their own rivalry going on.

Ya I'm glad they didn't kill him but hopefully they flesh his charcter out in another film down the road

I'm not sure what they'll do with Zemo. I think his character was primarily there to illustrate the salt when it comes to the destruction that Tony was accountable for.
