Crossbones was awesome. Shame he had to die.

Zemo was great, always ahead of them. Happy they didn't go the glue helmet route. Can't wait for more.

Clint confused me, I enjoy Renner in the part and he was good in this but they just flat out didn't bother saying why he helped Cap and then had him pissed off about being in jail. Guess he thought they'd get a little leniency or something.

That scene in the tunnel, why was Bucky as fast as/not easily caught by BP and Cap. That was jarring. Not much distance between them going into the tunnel.

I'm pretty sure Wanda didn't smash vision through the floor, she just made him superheavy right?

All in all, a brilliant film. Incredibly excited for BP, Spider-man and more Ant-Man.

Wheres the gif of Sam and Bucky nodding in the car?

From Wikipedias plot synopsis:
Rogers breaks the imprisoned Avengers out of prison and takes them to Wakanda, where T'Challa grants them asylum. In a mid-credits scene, Bucky chooses to be frozen until a cure for his brainwashing can be found. In a post-credits scene, Peter begins testing a "new gadget" while recovering from his injuries.
This was never said right?
Also I maybe don't like Bucky being frozen again... Will they melt him for Thanos?

Pretty good movie. Same thoughts as others, BP and Spidey were extremely good. Just sad there wasn't actually more of them both! Hyped for their movies, for sure.

Really cool how BP and Spidey have distinct and unique fighting abilities rather than "here's generic gymnastic stuff". Really showcases individuality.

Didn't care much for Zemo but the end act was still pretty cool. The way Cap and Bucky just play off each other in the fight (even the chase bit) was super slick. The fights were all spot on. Just wished BFI didn't show it in 3D!

On a personal level, I'm just not a big fan of Iron-Man and felt there was actually increasingly more of him here than Cap/Bucky, but tickets I s'pose!

Looking forward to seeing it again in 2D with more clarity. Those fights deserve to be seen again.

Overall I enjoyed it loads. More than Winter Solider, I need to give it time to decide.

Hngh. My dream woman.

Edit:

Wanda was also fucking OP in this movie. I also loved Visions... gentleman-look.

I think BP says that they won't be found in Wakanda or something like that. So, it's asylum but the accords have no idea they're there, I think.

At least that's what it seemed to me.

Cap pretty much said thank you for letting them hide in Wakanda but worries what would happen if the world ever finds out that he's aiding fugitives.

In response, T'Challa said let them try but he feels pity for anyone even attempting that.

Future Jeopardy question:

In Spring of 2016, a superhero film based on multiple popular heroes was released, with inspiration from a well-known comic book storyline. It's a classic story of heroes divided: on the one side, an iconic superhero(who is commonly associated with America) who does what he feels is right, regardless of what the world says; and on the other, a billionaire playboy(whose parents are deeeeeeeeeeaaaaad) whose only superpowers are his fantastic wealth and his genius mind, along with a bevy of super-high-tech gadgets. The heroes are manipulated by a man in the shadows with ambiguous motives, whose Xanatos Gambit is utterly absurd yet somehow still works. The final confrontation all hinges on one weird fact about the billionaire's mother. Also teased is that a non-white male superhero making their theatrical debut will soon star in their own theatrical film, for the first time.

X-men?

Spidey revelation and its character was the only redeeming quality of this movie... boring ass long meaningless shitty redundant dialog and mediocre battles. Stupid a la Jokerish contrived plan that somehow worked because people are stupid by a bland villain because muh family died because of you, yet again, surprise, surprise, but Marvel has no Joker so they make cheap ass copies.

Captain America fucking sucks and Iron Man all down the throat yet again. It's getting boring by now.

Hoping the Spidey film breaks the the stagnant mold these Marvel/Disney movies have been getting used to, while adding some of the only actually interesting and identifiable villains Marvel has.

Basically Spidey, please break the cycle.

no

Ranking Disney/Marvel movies:

1. Guardians of the Galaxy
2. Iron Man
3. Ant Man

Those three have the only detectable trace of being born from a creative spark first rather than the raison d'être to tie all these mess up for gathering zillions of dollars by establishing the franchise, there's lot of soulless movies that people are eating up and claiming they are the best ever shit on the screen.

Saw it yesterday, thought it was one of the weaker Marvel movies. Surprisingly, what I expected to be disappointing (the big standoff at the airport) was the best (and only really good) part of the movie. Spidey banter, Giant-man, flow of the fight... all great. Just thought they crammed too many characters in, and the new ones (even Spidey) felt shoehorned in. It really gives me high hopes for the new Spidey movie though, because Tom Holland is pretty much perfect casting.
I don't know much about Black Panther, but his inclusion also felt extremely forced and didn't sit well with me. But I'm also looking forward to the solo film, because again the casting seems on point.

But it goes to show that I really like the more focused Marvel movies better (like Guardians, IM 1 and Ant-man). This had too many things going at once, I didn't care for it at all. Not much better than Ultron.

Saw it last night, really enjoyed it. Liked spiderman and more of him than i thought, though did think he looked a bit on the younger side. Also seeing Giant Man was fun. Black Panther was also good and quite excited for the his film now.
Overall one of the better marvel films though did think tony was a bit of a dick at the end where they fight after finding out Bucky killed his father (considering he knows about mind control after the first avengers film and the fact Bucky had been under it when he did it).
Though did like how it ended with not everyone being a happy family and back under the avengers banner like with BvS and makes interested to see where they take them next.

What was Jokerish or contrived about Zemo's plan? He basically just took advantage of what was already happening around the Avengers.

How the fuck did he know that it would only be Captain, Bucky, and Iron Man at the end there? His entire plan is ridiculously complex and convoluted for what amounts to "tell Tony Stark that Bucky killed his parents."

I think he is upset this movie has got no DC stuffs like Joker. Got a feeling he haven't watch the movie too.

I thought his plan was to break up the Avengers, and also kills off the Winter Soldier clones.

Captain/Bucky/IronMan showing up wasn't part of his original plan and was an unexpected surprise, since he said he is glad these clones actually baited them (unintentionally) to the facility, where he get sow the final seed to the discord: the videotape.

His plan did not require the three to go to the secret base, he solely went there to get rid of the other Winter Soldiers (and maybe get the actual video files).
That said, the rest of his plan was still ridiculous, notably that he managed to disguise as a completely different man without anyone noticing, then managing to activate his programming within the minute or so they were alone.

He didn't knew and didn't need to know because the only goal for him was to turn the avengers against each other and killing the other Winter Soldiers. The "Bucky killed Tony parents" was the ultimate ace in the hole for Zemo to let them kill each other, which in the end didn't work out.

Was Caps Shield at the Raft?
Did he had it in Wakanda?
Cap left the shield to Tony.

Yeah, apparently not only did the government not actually have any kind of ID process for the psychologist they hired to deal with Bucky, but they also decided to leave him entirely alone in a room with a crazy violent guy who's killed dozens of people. Makes sense!

By the way, were all the other Winter Soldiers played by the stuntmen/stuntwomen of the heroes? I didn't quite catch all their names during the credits so I'm not sure, but thought it was nice.

Zemo's "plan" didn't depend on most of the events playing out exactly the way they did. He was basically just laying little fires here and there and things ultimately played into his hands in the end. He covered his bases and was certainly smart about it but it was never even slightly implied that everything was Zemo's doing.

Also, I'm not sure why people are hung up about him taking that psychiatrist's place and nobody noticing. Is it that hard to imagine for a minute that he forged identification and documents? Do you really need that spelled out for you?

The subversion of Chekhov's gun with the other winter soldiers was actually pretty nice, though.

Big time.

I was really uninterested in having them be the villains later on and taking away from the main Tony v Steve conflict. So thankful they weren't.

Russo's know what they're doing.

Okay, gaf, one question.

Where did Zemo get the recording of the murder of Tony's parents at the hand of the Winter Soldier? Was that just recording from a traffic camera?

Most likely it was still in the base, since the showdown takes place in the same room where Bucky was programmed to kill the Starks.

It's completely unjustified, I think that's sort of the point; as Stark put it "I don't care, he killed my Mom"

I think Tony being at rock bottom at the start of Infinity War will be really interesting.
