Perpetually Offended
That is what I was saying. It was not because it was a good movie but because of the message about it. If you would just get rid of all this political part was it still a good movie or was it just a decent Marvel flick?
To me it was a good movie. You have a story about a newly crowned, young King who wants to hold onto tradition and keep Wakanda hidden like his father before him ... and the woman he loves wants to help the world. Then his cousin, whose father was killed by the now deceased King T'chaka, wants revenge and has been planning it for most of his life. He finally gets it but his anger has no limits... He wants to hurt and enslave the world and Wakanda is the only nation that can allow him to do it. Then in the end, the protagonist and antagonist fight for the heart of their country.
The motivations of the characters, the action (other than the horrid CGI in the last fight), the costumes, the acting, the humor, the emotion... Yes, it was a great film. Otherwise, I wouldn't have felt so emotional.
I didn't like After Earth with Will and Jaden. It was horrible with horrible pacing and bad acting from Jaden and Will had nothing to do. Very few majority black cast movies move me like Black Panther did.
Also, what politics are you talking about? That it was a majority black cast? I didn't see a political message that anyone would be against.
