Nah. She phoned it in during Jedi, absolutely.
And it's not like she was the only one, so singling her out for it is ridiculous.

Daisy Ridley is model looking?
And it's not like she was the only one, so singling her out for it is ridiculous.
Her acting on the other hand is a bit wooden(I don't know if this is a botox thing, but she was borderline espressionless), and her voice sounds like she has smoked 3 packs a day for the last 3 decades.
Ian Mcdiarmid deserves credit for being the only consistently great thing in the prequels.
If every scene had him in it, they would almost be worth watching.
I actually was distracted by her face during the movie.
She did not look bad but it looked like she overdosed on botox injections before they started filming. It didn't look like half of the muscles in her face could move properly.
I would have rather seen her wrinkles instead of that.
I think so too which is fucking crazy considering she looks fantastic as is.I'm almost 100% certain they cg touched up her face.
Oh, that. I'm not suggesting I would rape Daisy Ridley. Everyone's mind always goes to that.
She would feel sorry for me.

The only two people in the main cast that seemed to give a shit were Hamill and McDiarmid in that movie. Which is probably why the only part of that movie that really works from an acting standpoint is the throne room scene.
What the fuck are you doing?
...
And who gives a shit if her fame from Star Wars helped launch her writing career? Of course it did -- but that's what you do with jobs. You use one to leverage into another.
My issue with her in the film was her acting, it was absolutely awful and distracted me in any scene she was in. She looks great for her age but not many characters are reprised 30 years later by the same actor so it is a bit weird when you have an image so burned into your mind of what she looked like and then have her pop up decades later, having succumbed to the natural process of aging.
I would end her wait for a family.
I think it was the script's fault. Absolutely none of her dialogue had any of the spunky personality of Leia from the old movies. Of course she's a fully grown woman who is a general now, so she's not gonna call anyone a walking carpet, but the script gave her no personality beyond "vaguely worried mother". I was expecting a headstrong, witty general.
Leia and Han should have cut from TFA. Leia because she did nothing and Han because he did too much.
I'm almost 100% certain they cg touched up her face.

Wait, is the general consensus that Fisher didn't look good in The Force Awakens? I think she looked great. She wasn't in the movie for too long but I really liked her scenes and lines.
I've read some creepy shit on this forum, but this takes the biscuit.I would end her wait for a family.
I would believe it.I'm almost 100% certain they cg touched up her face.
Yea. It's a bit odd seeing the writing shift for her character into worried mama back home, considering her character was always in the forefront fighting with the rest of them and a major risk taker. They needed to give her something else to do than stand there and be concerned, or at least bring back the spitfire sass she had (just toned down a bit due to the 30 years gap). The closest we got was when she ribbed Han a few times in a row about the Death Star and just don't do anything lolI think it was the script's fault. Those who can, do
Those who can't, teach
And those who can do neither become critics.
Considering how bad of an acting job she did in TFA, looks are the least of her problems.
You're going to kill her?I would end her wait for a family.

Did you feel similarly about Harrison Ford? Because the way the move featured Han Solo, really put his age into focus, more than Leia's.
Also, I'm excited to see what Mark Hamill's acting is going to be like in the next couple of movies. His acting in the original movies was awful, but some of this is attributable to Lucas' writing and maybe his youth. I've heard that Hamill is an amazing voice actor now, so maybe he's really improved.
Hoping he's doing loads of fight choreography. I want an epic light saber duel out of him.
god no, he needs to be the gruff old man who says insightful things and maybe does some cool force stuff once or twice
lucas tried giving the wise master action scenes in the prequels with yoda, it's stupid and doesn't work because it undermines what that type of character is supposed to be about
Tell me you've watched Batman: The Animated series and this is just sarcasmDid you feel similarly about Harrison Ford? Because the way the move featured Han Solo, really put his age into focus, more than Leia's.

Looked fine to me. But then she spoke...

Sorry. I've just overheard pieces of him doing Joker in the Arkham Knight video game. I had heard that people like him as the Joker, but maybe his performance is more controversial than I realized. That only makes me more curious to see what his acting will be like in the next films.
Honestly, Luke Skywalker is the character I love to hate, so if its awful, that would just make some awful part of me really pleased.
She's better looking than most models in my view.
Carrie Fisher was a stunner back in the day, too.
