Yeah. I don't think Chinese players are allowed to play Mo games with non Chinese playersProbably being regulated - China I believe still have many of these things regulated but I can be wrong.

Did Assassin's Creed Chronicles China receive some internet backlash since announcement?
Can't imagine why it got cancelled so fast, unless some censor dude looked at it and said, "Not historically correct enough" and then shut it down.
Xbox One has been very popular on social media in China recently as evidenced by this picture.....

This has been known to have happened. They ended up having to change all the character's names before they could release. In this case, a game about assassinating an actual Chinese Emperor is going to be problematic. And if there was anything in the game about the different Chinese ethnic groups, that could have lead to problems as well. The Chinese Ministry of Culture has been exercising their power a lot more in the last few years and this has hurt the release of creative works there.Did Assassin's Creed Chronicles China receive some internet backlash since announcement?

I think that it's just a frame - the "picture" isn't actually a photograph.Just why is there a poster of a smartphone screenshot of a tweet....?

I was about to post the same damn thing!!I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Ono not being the most lovable dude on the planet.

It's cut out cardboard.....
Simplified as in Simplified Chinese. Most other Chinese markets use Traditional Chinese, but all official Mainland releases have to be in Simplified.Excuse my ignorance on the matter but what is this "Simplified Edition" I keep reading about in the OP?
What's with the lighting? Where the hell did they shoot this?Hi All,
Interview with Phil Spence I uploaded here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TtrBgKoU2s&feature=youtu.be
Is this new thread worthy?
It sounds inefficient in my opinion to have two concurrent writing systems for the same language but it's not my place to judge so thanks for the explanation.Simplified as in Simplified Chinese. You probably think I'm suggesting that from a Western standpoint, but I actually mean that literally. I know even Mainland China drama production can't get away with fudging history because the censorship board is picky. The famous Zhen Huan Zhuan drama had to insert itself in a completely different history setting just because the novel setting was too 'fake' for censors. This has been known to have happened. So I guessed the only reasons why China censors would tell Ubisoft that their game has to be cancelled for release is that the 'history' Ubisoft presents in ACC: China is definitely "not favorable to China" in their eyes. I didn't know that there was an assassination of an emperor involved, so I guess that's extra no good.
I expect it'll be like this for a while. I'm sort of afraid some games that could use more financial success won't be able to reach retail in China just because they may contain objectionable material.
That falls under "not favorable to China".The issue isn't about whether something is favorable to China or not. The issue comes down to whether the content directly challenges an established authority or not, especially government authority.
That falls under "not favorable to China".
Admittedly the government is pretty ubiquitous, so it's hard to single out if an unflattering portrayal of any sort is distinct from being "unfavorable to China" versus "challenging government authority".
Lol so many creeper angles.
Nice!
360p though. T_T
I think King of Wushu has so much potential if released in a western market.
Sorry haha. I had to post this video up ;ol
Sorry, I don't want to upload too big file. It takes too long to upload 720p on my connection.
But here is a tour of the Sony booth in 720p for you!

Anyway, Knights of Valour is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 in China and is developed by a Taiwanese studio. They have received a lot of support from Sony since 2013 in making this classic arcade game for PS4. The 3 years of development for the game has allowed them to really nail down on the mechanics and they now have a fully functioning 3D fighting game based on the Three Kingdoms period.
This is just one of the many developers that Sony are working with to bring games to PlayStation.
No worries Zhuge you are forever forgiven for your charts. And I like all these games coming out of China hopefully a good amount of them get localized and do well outside of China. Great for the diversity of the library
Yup, really cool to see so many games.
Here is another 1 minute video of Ultra Street Fighter 4 tournament that is going on. (RIP Headphone users)

Do we have a timeframe for the NA release date for King of Wushu?
I already suspect that there is thriving indid scene in China, but rendered invisible due to the Great Firewall and language barrier. Hopefully with Sony involved now, they'll bring them to the international audienceThere is actually indie events in China, more and more, better and better.
2015 Is what has been confirmed but we haven't heard anything else.
It may be delayed tbh as I was expecting to hear more by now.

Btw, Don't know if you guys know but Capcom revealed that there are more than 500,000 people who signed up for Street Fighter 5 Beta in China.
Me too.I seriously want those Chinese indie games got localized.
That's almost halfway to that mythical 1% of China :0Btw, Don't know if you guys know but Capcom revealed that there are more than 500,000 people who signed up for Street Fighter 5 Beta in China.
