Nothing really mind blowing if you read GAF often outside of the Japan thing. We knew the localisation excuse was bullshit thanks to cboat previous big leak (yield issue). We also knew their SDK and drivers were far behind, hence they announced last week like their drives were finally completed or something. The PS4 launching at the end of October was hinted by Sony Saudi Arabia and on retail chain systems leaked by a gaffer. Kinect less SKU makes sense considering they are more expensive than the PS4.

I wonder what Japanese exclusive they bought. From what I can understand it makes reference to Platinum and Kamiya but I'm not sure if it's simply to compare the Bayonetta 2 scenario or if it's really a Platinum game. It seems other might be involved but he's only sure about Kamiya? That's probably the most interesting in that leak for me.

I think you guys are misinterpreting his statement regarding Platinum. I think he's saying that the style of game is not for a North American or European audience, not the release of the game of itself.

Yeah, I read that as Gies saying that, basically, those first few paragraphs are basically wrong.


So Gies either thinks that Sony will not launch in Late October, or Microsoft will launch in October sometime. He says they have inaccuracies.


So, going by the Gies Methodology of Knowledge, this means you can confirm Playstation WILL launch in October, the Xbox One WILL NOT.

Why in the world would MS invest in a Japanese only game and why would a developer make a game for Xbox only to be released in Japan? That makes no sense for anyone involved.

2nd part is easy to explain. A developer needs a publisher to fund games they can work on. The developer gets paid to make the game, regardless of whether the game tanks or not. The publisher takes on the financial risk, not the developer.

Of course, if the developer could choose between a guaranteed blockbuster project or a project on a niche console, they'd choose the former; but hey, often you don't get that choice.

Nope seems like Kamiya is in charge of the project based on what CBOAT said. Remember he just in advising role for Bayonetta 2 so he is free to do anything else.
