No I don't know. They tried to replicate the feel of Gen 1 with Fire Red and Leaf Green and we only got soulless remakes.

Likely there'll be some more. They promised game specific stuff and so far everything is related to the movie.
That remains to be seen, bit seeing as how he's the relative newcomer to the franchise (Red and his pokemon, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff are iconic and old pros) he's the most likely to lose his character slot. If the choice was between him and repping the latest generation it's a no brainer.

mewtwo was supposed to be in brawl if not for subspace and sonic to an extent.

Well meloetta did have heavy focus in the anime and had a lengthy arc. From what I understand. Id rather it not be a character but its still not out of the question.

As much as people hate to admit it, a huge factor in Gen 1 appreciation is nostalgia. Of course the remake won't "capture" the "feel" because it's already in Gen 3. Hell, they even REMOVED a lot of things like breeding to add more to the "Gen 1 feel".

I like this picture the best. It's a lot cuter than the official art, which looks kinda soulless to me. I'm a fan. I'll probably try using it unless I sneeze and get another Eevee evolution instead.
Also, Mewtwo!
I don't think Sonic had to do with Mewtwo not getting it. Sonic was a really late addition. SSE on the other hand took up a lot of time to develop which prevented them from implementing more fighters.

No it is legit but felt kind of absurd for me. I see Meloetta more than a trophy or pokeball character than a fighter. But it could be cool, I mean look at jigglypuff.

Ah darn. Still, Ninfia's announcement makes sense when you look at PokeSmash - they were visiting the "Eevee House" or something. I wonder if it would be a guy in a Ninfia costume or a guy in a drag in a Ninfia costume.
Btw to those dissing Bidoof (to an extension Bibarel), you guys do know Moody Bibarel was once in Ubers before it was banned. By stalling, it could wipe out Arceus. Its only counter is an Unaware user or a Haze/Smog user.

Interesting, I'm assuming they used Melee as the base. Toon Zelda/Tetra would've been the most interesting. With the other chaacters though...the less clones the better.

No, I'm pretty sure the games are just really fun. People enjoy what they like and blaming it on nostalgia is silly. If the the game was fun back then and it's still enjoyable now when I go back to it, I doubt 'nostalgia' has anything to do with it.
