Its eyes are weird. Its fine overall I guess, but it looks a little too much like glaceon/leafeon. I was hoping for something different.
 
I miss the days when mewtwo was super broken due to the special stat being both attak and def.

And the fuck is up with the move set from the wild mewtwo in heartgold? It had like 1 kinda shitty attack move and all these weird swap moves and no recover.

Also, FR/LG did not remove breeding. It's still in the game, although post-game but it's still there. Stop making shit up, Boss Doggie.

When a Pokemon game goes out of its way to prevent things like Chansey from evolving, it's not a very good Pokemon game.

FR/LG imposed a lot of stupid restrictions to make it feel more like Gen 1. Limiting breeding to the postgame was one of them.

EDIT: Just noticed the edit. Yeah I agree with the criticism, there was a lot of weird restrictions with that game. Still, I had a lot of fun with it. I pretty much pretended I'm playing an upgraded Gen 1 game.

Yeah but it's still pretty stupid to assume a Pokemon looks useless because it looks stupid. I mean, look at Charizard, it's apparently "awesome" but it sucks big time. :P

Yes it does, that factor pretty much nails it. You have a nostalgia with it back then, so obviously playing it again will give you the feeling. So the argument that the remake is "soulless" is stupid and insipid because it pretty much translated Gen 1 near-perfectly (much to its limitations).

It's the same people who says MMPR is the "best" season that even them rewatching those episodes are "good" because they have experiences on it when they were young.

Read again. It's post game, something that didn't exist in Gen 1. It means the "remake" officially stops there and is more of the new stuff they could add. It includes Sevii Islands and stuff. Hell, it didn't have berries or even Happiness until post game too!

looks lush, glaceon, leafeon and vaporeon are my favourite eeves, this is DEFINATELY top tier too.

For the record umbreon and espeon are some of my most hated Pokemon. Come at me etc

You're trying really hard now, especially when people like Berordn got what I meant. Yeah it is there post-game, but it is still not part of the main game. Compare to HG/SS which actually kept a lot of stuff in the main game. For instance, I can evolve Piloswine to Mamoswine while still being in Blackthorn City.

I really hope they cut down on the legendary Pokemon this generation. There are were so many legendary Pokemon the last 2 generations it was kind of pathetic.

What's the general consensus on what Ninfia's type is?
 
Ninfia's looking good in its 3d model.

And Gen 2-3 has the best legendary number, though 3 is the realistic "best" since GF loves them event legendaries.

Nope, again what does this idea of 'nostalgia' have to do with me enjoying a game I played when I was younger? I enjoy it because it's still a fun game and the gameplay holds up even to this day. I may have warm memories of it but if I can go back to the game after YEARS when my perception of it might be foggy and still have fun with it, I'm sure it's still a fun game to enjoy.

Ideally, there'd be 8 legendaries. The trio legends, the cover legends, the event mew like pokemon and the event mewtwo like pokemon.

I wonder if theyd ever do a fossilized legendary?
 
I think the reason I don't like FRLG as much as the originals is because all the new features are pushed to post game. HGSS handled that stuff much better.

Also, the hand holding in those fucking games... my GOD.

FRLG has the best graphical style of any Pokemon game, I'll give it that.
 
The design looks good apart from the eyes. Usually eevee evolutions have smart, sexy eyes, this one looks like a bug-eye freak. Well as long as I have my Fennekin to bring on the sexy.

There will most probably be another new eevee, since they usually come in pairs.

I didn't think the hand holding was too bad. Then again it has been a long time since I last played it.

And yeah I agree about the graphical style. It's definitely the best, it really captures the feel really well... if that's the right way to word it.

I think the one thing I wasn't a big fan of is the music, something about it... sounds off.

I like the eyes. I saw the art in its proper proportions (meaning: not a scrunched-up scan), and the eyes have an eerie beauty to them. Mystifying, even! I also dig the Miltoic/Skyla-esque color scheme, the billowing ribbons, and in the promo art for the Eevee short, dem majesty sparkles.
 
Looks ALOT like Victini. Before reading it was an Eeveevolution, I thought it was another forme for Victini, haha.
 
It was growing on me already but damn, it's just too darn happy in the promo art with the others! I'm really starting to like it now.

This reflects my own personal Pokemon cycle: New Pokemon revealed --> WTF --> moments pass --> BEST POKEMON EVER.

It happened with Chespin. It happened with Yveltal. And damn, now it's happening with Ninfia. Dem colors. Dat happy swagger.
