Because they are private they get to make their own rules and choose who can be members. You never here of any issues at a country club? Any of you members at a country club
I think the issue is that a lot of them are invite only, so they tend to have very um. Same looking patrons. Some friends were a member of the local golf club / country club back home. I used to go down. It was nice.
What's your issue? These people pay, it's a private place. They aren't hurting anyone. They're not even doing anything immoral or annoying. Ffs.
High tea is the bees knees.
What do people do in country clubs?

Yet your money is just as green as everyone else's.I wouldn't know, I am black.
My friend's father is a member at a local country club. They invited me to play a round for free a couple weeks ago. We were on the first tee getting ready to start and a club official approaches my friends dad, and he turns to me and says "you're gonna have to buy a pair of shorts in our pro shop, because we don't allow cargo shorts on our course".
Yes, the pair of pockets on the front of my shorts meant they were not OK at this country club. LOL
So I was escorted into the shop and shown a couple shorts to buy. They were $50 shorts.
Thankfully my friend's dad insisted he pick up the tab since he didn't warn me of the ridiculous rules.
Yeah, country club's are kind of stupid.
I bet minorities love the membership exclusivity.
Except everyone who belongs to the country club knows the rules so it really isn't an issue. Actually, as a rule, do not wear cargo shorts to a nice golf course, country club or not. You may think it's snooty but think of it as a uniform, common to all sports.

Coming from the state of Georgia, and as a family that was a member of a CC, let me say that there certainly are a few clubs that have unspoken rules regarding membership. The whole "rowdy" clause.Country clubs only really have 1 requirement..money. There may be a couple exceptions to the rule but you'd be hard pressed to find 5 of them in the US.

LolDrink, play golf and discuss "the negro problem".
My first job in high school was a bus boy cleaning tables at a country club.
Banging middle aged trophy wives of rich old men was never better.
My brain blanked when I read the title, I was expected a night club that was country themed.
I have no clue why.
Gaf Gold members only I assume.Let's make a Gaf country club

That's what GAF Gold is. Invite-only paid membership to keep the riff raff out.Let's make a Gaf country club
Usually they're centered around golf clubs and/or tennis facilities. Some will also offer a pretty nice gym and pool(s).What does a country club offer? I guess they have sport facilities, a restaurant, bar possibly a ball room members can use/rent? I guess it's mainly an extension of the English club.
