#DEFLATEGATE: Goodell never had any balls

Wait, who times someone going to the bathroom? If they were going to keep track of how long he went to the bathroom why not just in there with him to make sure nothing happens to the balls?

There is a conspiracy here.
or maybe they just looked at the time codes of the video file :\

lol figured

Love the assumptions people are jumping to without all the actual details. Sure I get why the Pats don't receive the benefit of the doubt ... that obvious ... put as evidence and physics are introduced, people keep refusing to rethink their positions. It's embarrassing.

The worst though, by far, is listening to sports radio hosts. Holy shit. They've been making it so fucking obvious they were com majors and haven't had more than one math or science class post high school.

Part of me is curious to see if the NFL take significant action, Bellichick lifts the lid on his (rumoured) warchest of evidence of other teams 'cheating' in the NFL.

Wait so now Pat's fans are claiming the Colts are intentionally over-inflating the balls?

The tinfoil hat is strong with this one.

Do you have a problem reading a post and responding to it? All you're doing is stuffing words in my mouth.

Why would the Patriots turn in the tapes if they have something to hide? Weird

They found some tape of the guy going in to a "mysterious room" so they are setting him up as a patsy now. When he leaves the building he will find a briefcase with a few hundred K to stay quiet, I imagine.

I don't mind that, but it bothers me that Tyson and Nye jump on the bandwagon and say "Bill's explanation is BS!" then forget the simple conversion of gauge pressure to absolute pressure and have bad math. Units are important with physics.

Not to mention most of the assumptions are made from leaks that might not be fully accurate or encompass all the data needed to make a reasonable conclusion.

The real question is why was he allowed to leave with the Colts' footballs too? Isn't the procedure that after the refs approve the footballs, 12 are given to the Pats attendant and 12 to the Colts' attendant, and then the K balls are kept separate from both?

Tom Brady's feelings were hurt, someone get him his blanky.

Normal shitheads like you and me use our blankies. Tom has Giselle.

lol this guy.

More like they handed over all tapes from inside their complex in order to trace the ball movement for the duration between the ref's hand off and them making it to the sidelines. And as far as we know the only time the balls weren't in view is the portion being discussed (which is what makes it arguably newsworthy) - except any objective viewer would assume it to be insufficient time to mess with them.

Yeah, while painful, I guess I should expect it from the sports broadcasters. But you're right, the truly disappointing thing here is Tyson and Nye. They're supposed to be the faces of science, and they did bad science here.

Random aside ... on the way in I was listening to the local Buffalo news sports show. They were stating how Belichick flat out lied in his conference, and citing Nye as the evidence for it

>_<

Had to immediately switch to NPR so I didn't drive my car into a ditch.

ESPN Is such a joke. They're like the Fox News of sportscasting.

Boston radio isnt much better felger and maz (they are known for being horrible) have constantly been crying the sky is falling. Yesterday they were moaning how Kraft is in such a tight spot because he's a supporter of Goodell and he can't stand up for Bill and Tom because obviously they are all lying and up to something. I Got a good chuckle once I saw Krafts press conference. They are the Fox news of Boston sports.I

I'm still convinced that like Green Bay, the Patriots submit balls right outside the legal limits. The refs just gave the balls a squeeze and visual inspection, then signed off on them. I am also convinced every team does something similar.. the local sports station in Raleigh had a guy talking about how Freeman was peculiar about which balls he used. JOSH FREEMAN!

Disney is a very liberal company in many ways. I've worked for them and even though I do agree that ESPN specifically is a train wreck these days, Fox News is actually damaging in ways that ESPN isn't!

Good question.

And I think the damage is already done to the Pats. Whether they cheated or didn't cheat is kinda moot now. I know Pat fans don't want to hear that and/or believe it....but it's true. People will always associate the Patriots with cheating (outside NE at least). It's like how people think about Barry Bonds. The first thing that comes to mind is steroids. Not the fact of just how good of a player the man was, or the records he set. But Steroids.

The whole Belichick/Brady era is going to be tainted as 'cheaters'. Fair or unfair that's just the way it is.

How convinent that two media outburts over what was in the end very little can tarnish the legacy of the best NFL dynasty of all time... almost as if it was based on hatred or jealousy or something.

I think the bigger damage is whether this is impacting their game prep. Hard to imagine it isn't.

Ehhh, I really don't think this ball scandal will hold water in a year when it's realized nothing happened. Some people, like those evident in this thread, will always try to make the Pats "illegitimate" because they are sad that their team pukes all over themselves when they face the Pats (quite literally in the case of Jabee's team)

Really, only reason Pats aren't likable is because of Belichick. I guess in NE people are used to assholes and being generally not giving a shit, but I've talked to other people out of the area, along with my brother who was in bootcamp down south and apparently everywhere else people really, really hate how BB acts and sounds.

But when you have a grown man crying over slightly deflated balls, it may be time to pack up and never, ever listen to their opinion ever again. I'm sure after this whole ordeal is over Brady has a list of people to never talk to again.

If puking on themselves is what the Giants did in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI, then I'll take it!

Hahaha, well I don't think that counts, Pats and Giants both played good games, Pats D just couldn't hold up and make a stop in either final drive.

Sure it sucks, but I'll never be salty or really all that mad over those games. One game was an improbable catch, shit happens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Speaking of 18-1, it's interesting how the unstoppable Patriots' juggernaut deflated in the first game where they couldn't use their own balls.

Yes because the Giants great pressure on Brady and d-line play was because of anything related to the footballs. Plus the miracle helmet catch.

"What do you mean the undisclosed room was only a bathroom!?"

Good. If I was Bill I'd tell all my players to just walk away from any reporter continuing to try and make this a story.

Can't really walk away. They're forced to sit in those little desks and take questions. I'm sure they could simply take the next question if they didn't like the current one though.

Did you read that somewhere, because if I were you I would seriously not take credit for something so ignorant.
Unless you did not watch the second half against the Colts or something.

No. They most likely cheated. Now we're just waiting for the NFL report. Everyone is at the General Media day.

You really should share these inside sources with the rest of us. Everything's pointing the Patriots doing nothing wrong, but I'm sure you know better.
