Update: I've added statistics to the bottom of this post. I'll keep them updated as more people vote.
Original Post: As you probably know, Bungie released the alpha version of Destiny for PS4 owners this weekend, which features both single and co-op levels, along with two deathmatch maps. The alpha (and all characters PS4 users created) is about to come to an end, and the question remains:
Did your opinion of Destiny change for the better or worse, or was it merely reaffirmed?
So while details and personal anecdotes will be interesting and helpful for those on the fence, I think it’d be cool if you could all (also) quote and answer these following questions/statements:
1. Before the alpha, my impression of Destiny…[finish this sentence]. My interest level was: _/10.
2. After having played the alpha, my impression of Destiny…[finish this sentence]. My interest level is now: _/10.
Reading over this post, I figure I might as well state that I’m in no way affiliated with Bungie because god fuck does it read rigid and professional. But I’m genuinely curious as to how the alpha potentially affected people—especially considering the perhaps lukewarm anticipation and confusing consensus of the game pre-E3 (2014).
And while this question is seeminly aimed purely to PS4 owners who played the alpha, I wouldn’t say no to hearing from people who just read impressions and took in info from those who played. Perhaps your opinion shifted too? Perhaps not?
I’ll let someone else start.
