I don't like to use those super clean press released screenshots, I tend to capture from video for accuracy. So this is pretty fair:

What exactly would happen? Like Deep Down's latest build? Where some people didn't see the difference (or didn't want to) and said it looked amazing? And when somebody does a comparison he gets called a troll? Why is nobody talking about the tgs deep down images being rendered at 720p, and how Ono conveniently takes off-screen shots of the game? But Ryse gets a ton of hate for being 900p on inferior hardware.

It's realtime.

What other explanation would you have for games looking similar for first party titles?Wait, what? Where/When did I say that?
yeah, I can believe that's gameplay graphics. Looks about on par with Infamous (albeit without the crazy effects and open world), but not KZ.
looking forward to seeing more of Quantum Break, even if I don't like the talk of episodic tv stuff.
It's realtime.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Should have started with "Hey, guys!"
If you want to believe the nonsense PR MS had been force feeding us, go ahead. If you can't see the obvious bias in Leadbetter's articles, you must be blind. We wanted technical articles, not brown nosing. He never even attempted to question MS when they said baseless shit (balance my ass). He swallowed it up and asked for more.
As for technically superior, what sticks out to you? Lower resolutions? Baked lighting? The games look good, but I can't think of a technical reason to hold any one of them above what I've seen from Sony. The graphics won't suck by any means, but trying to compare them with a much more powerful machine is overly optimistic at best, stupid at worst. I'm not buying an XB1 for its performance, I can tell you that. MS needs to drop out of the spec war and focus on what their box does that differentiates it from their cheaper, more powerful competition (exclusive games).
You give us Juniors a bad name. Lay off dat Kool-Aid.
NeoGAF has quite the waiting list to get in. Mods should have a form to fill out that requires you to put your other forum sn's (for research) and such to weed out the shills.
I'll eat my boxing gloves if those Quantum Break screens are confirmed to be real time.
He more or less proved to me he isn't worth asking with anyway, with that response.I had a sinking feeling Shmup would pass over Amir0x's knock-out blow.
What screen tearing? From the leaked video? fyi all crytek games on current gen consoles were triple buffered, so i highly doubt there will be any tearing in the release copy. I agree with Forza and KI.
They're real time, but we don't know if they're real time gameplay screens.
I had a sinking feeling Shmup would pass over Amir0x's knock-out blow.
Sorry but no I can't see the obvious bias in Richard Leadbetter's articles, where is this "brown nosing" you speak of? he asked perfectly relevant questions. Balance is important, you can say "my ass" all you like but it won't change that fact. Balance, or lack thereof is something that held the PS3 back with it's bottlenecks, how do you figure it's "baseless"? How about you provide some evidence to back up your claims so I understand what you are referring to because as far as I'm concerned this just strikes me as one of those situations where if enough people say so then it must be true.. right?
Baked lighting... It's funny but why is this always used as a counter argument towards X1 technical capabilities when Killzone SF features it? If you are referring to Forza 5, while it might have static lighting the IBL and SSS are both fully dynamic, all the shadows and reflections, it's all handled in real time and not "baked in".
For me nothing I have seen on PS4 impresses me like Ryse and Forza Motorsport 5, I understand that is to a large degree subjective, which is why I used the prefix "to my eyes". The point is, I am not seeing any evidence of this supposed 30-40% power advantage, show me where it is.
So my valid arguments that you obviously don't agree with are giving junior members a bad name, so what kind of name are you giving with your low-brow ad hominem remarks?
I said casual gamers probably wont see the difference, the same people who cant differentiate between current-gen & next-gen, which is a significant disparity in IQ.What other explanation would you have for games looking similar for first party titles?
Show me?
Lol. Someone brought up quantum break. So I guess this belongs here now. Not to mention Dark sorcerer has been shown with an actual interactive demo.

How about you show us it was real time or some game play and it not some target render .
What res is the game , what is the frame rate , how do we know it not going to get downgrade , how come it look so good but MS having problems with tools .
This from the same company that gave is Alan Wake which res was 960x544 so forgive me if i don't trust them

So then, it doesn't matter that Alan wake looked good and was fun?
Wat? Do you really believe that? Because that's not an opinion, that's factually untrue.
Design encompass power. His response that he believes the PS4 is better designed obviously includes the power of the system. Also, nowhere in your post does it say that the systems are on par. I don't get your post at all.
He more or less proved to me he isn't worth asking with anyway, with that response.
Keep on truckin', man.

They haven't shown any gameplay yet
Lol. Someone brought up the dark sorcerer tech demo with closed environments. Comparing a Quantic Dream game to a Remedy game? Really? Really?
So then, it doesn't matter that Alan wake looked good and was fun?
All he said was that casual gamers wouldn't be able to tell the difference in IQ. Not graphics/power. My understanding of his statement was that the same people who don't even care won't be able to tell the difference, not that he somehow believes the consoles to be on par. Please reread the entire conversation. You are not following it correctly.
I asked him wether he believes first party games will look similar. He answered yes, he thinks they will look similar. What other reason would he have for first party games looking similar graphics wise if not for both systems being equally powerful?
Wall of text (in other words, pure awesomeness)
So then, it doesn't matter that Alan wake looked good and was fun?
I can just about guarantee that Quantum Break won't look like that when we see it again actually running on XB1. Not even that I think it's unachievable, I just don't see that kind of quality coming from Remedy this early in the generation on that system.
Oh you better hope Quantum Break does not have closed environments.Lol. Someone brought up the dark sorcerer tech demo with closed environments. Comparing a Quantic Dream game to a Remedy game? Really? Really?

shame it was only a half ported PS3 engine,on the 4gb kit. can't wait for a real PS4 engine.

They haven't shown gameplay yet for the dark sorcerer either, so...
Really? Those Quantum Break screens are from an in-engine cut scene. They are essentially the same scope from a technical perspective.

that's gameplay![]()
What does that have do about the game's technical merits?
yeah, I can believe that's gameplay graphics. Looks about on par with Infamous (albeit without the crazy effects and open world), but not KZ's level.

How about this? Respond to Amir0x's post. He said it better than I would, and I don't feel like typing a 2000 word response on my phone.Yup, that's one way to get out of it.
negative stuff from MS or not that is pretty fast

It's quite obvious you posted this due to your sensitivity to the negativity going on here, particularly when it really had nothing to do with what's going on right now.
Nice showing of your sense of security though.

dat next gen Uncharted wall touchingI'd believe it. Look at the object he's pushing through, I don't see why this can't be gameplay.
Oh you better hope Quantum Break does not have closed environments.
And they freeze the tanker halfway through ramming through this bridge. And that bridge scene, as its going on, you're actually playing in that bridge scene.
