So what's the best way to chain a Wall/Vacuum combo for DS? I played him last night and for some reason every time I tried it, I couldn't vacuum them past the wall. Do Vacuum then place the wall behind them as they are running away or do you place the wall and then suck em up past the wall into you?

just cast r and then q in quick succession in the same spot. It will pull all of them to the middle of it. Or shift r shift q, that will cast it as fast as possible.

Also dis all random, get meepo and morphling on same team with alchemist, Fun times ahead.

It's not about the cosmetic set. It's about them listening and ultimately bowing to the dumbest and most annoying subset of their community simply because they're the most vocal. It would have been forgotten about in a week, it was the silliest thing ever.

Truly the tea party of dota.
 
Just had a MM match with 3 of my friends where the random demanded mid. He did terrible and fed at start but kept blaming us and telling the enemy to report. We ended up rallying and winning.

The following MM match he ended up on the enemy team. Never enjoyed destroying a team more. Really took them appart, it was satisfying and he did the same thing, told us to report his team even though he had the most deaths.

So I had my first game of Dota 2, and... we won, kind of. Two guys on the other team disconnected half way through and didn't come back. I didn't even think we were ahead at that point. Does that happen a lot? I can see it being pretty annoying if your team gives up as soon as you get behind, especially when it can still take 20 mins to finish the game.

One other thing, I noticed I missed a bunch of chat messages from my team. The window would pop up when I typed a message but obviously wasn't coming up when they did. Is there some kind of setting for whose chat messages you want to see?
 
You don't pick whoever in AR, you click the repick button and it randoms again but you start with the usual repick penalty gold instead of the extra from randoming as if it were an all pick match.

At the rank where you start out, yeah, that's pretty common. But it goes away fairly quickly. I get a leaver maybe once every ten games or so now?
 
BeyondTheSummit stream is hilarious inbetween their staff cup games. 2GD entered their channel and was trash talking them all for about 15 minutes.

Great stuff.

So despite the fact that CyborgMatt whipped something up in a few minutes, Dotabuff cannot do jack shit for new data collection. This is so pitiful to watch.
 
Hey Forkball, I know you were looking for some suggestions for your beginner's guide. I thought of some, after playing a few recent matches.

Most guides seem to be: "How to do so and so effectively." And they assume that if you follow their instructions, you will win or do well. But what about some tips on what to do when you get stuck with an incompetent team? For example:

1) Tips on how to farm/play a hard carry when your team does not support you (i.e. almost every low-tier team).

2) How to manage with an incompetent lane partner (feeds/afks/runs around aimlessly), so it's basically you vs two opponents in lane.

3) What to do when the mid game starts and your teammates start getting ganked — Should you stay in your lane and try to farm? Should you run to go help them?

All 3 of those happened to me in the last two matches I played. I didn't really know what to do. Especially #3 — the other team was more organized so they grouped up and ganked top and mid lanes, and my lane partner at bot was roaming around the map doing god knows what. So I'm sitting there in bot wondering what I should be doing when my team has 3 down. I farmed by pushing my lane up, but I knew that was putting me at a high risk for getting ganked. I was playing Crystal Maiden.
