I took those straight from the episode myself.

It's amazing how much the animation quality impacts my enjoyment of an episode.

Also, yeah, SSGSS Goku's hair should be ice white platinum. Bright enough to be seen just as white. I don't understand the point in making it blue.

Yep that episode was excellent. We still haven't gotten the conversation about Goku's dissatisfaction with how he got his power, which I liked from the movie as it was actually a bit of character development.

But after these last 3-4 episodes, I think the show has finally improved upon the movie. I love how long the fight is taking to play out, and the fighting techniques feel more like godly powers.

I really enjoyed all the arm locks in this ep as well. The battle choreography was refreshing to see considering most of the time it's just flurries of punches and kicks.

The whole Beerus negating the universe destroying energy was a nice touch as well in expanding his Godly powers.

Is it true that the voice actor for King Kai has finally retired? Japanese friend told me today, but I don't have any sources. Sorry if it has been discussed.

The formal statement is that he's been temporarily replaced while he undergoes treatment.

So the next episode is the last one for the Battle of Gods arc before we get to the new stuff, correct? At least the animation has become more consistent, now.

everyone looks like they're in their RoF designs in the credits, so I guess that means Goten and Trunks aren't aging lol

One day they will suddenly jump in size I'm sure :P Also Marron is another one who isn't aging.

At least Krillin will be nice and bald again soon? :P

Anyway, glad that they are covering stuff before Freeza. I am curious what hell they will use. Also curious if they will show how Vegeta/Goku reach SSGSS (I assume they will in the training episode)

Also as an aside, the epilogue of Z had Bulla who looked older than Pan (right?), so is she retconed to either not exist now or just to be younger than her?

Just something I was curious about after watching Resurrection F.

White hair does look baller.

Also glad SSG stopped 'cause that shitty cheap looking flame effect was really getting on my nerves.

Overall a pretty good episode. Fight's going on a bit long, though.

So isn't there going to be a Dragon Ball Super panel at NY Comic Con in a few days where they will supposedly announce the release date for the English dub?

That was a great episode.

Still wonder if Vegeta insisting on following the battle on his own despite God Ki being involved is just Vegeta being Vegeta or if there's something more to that.

She looked about as old as Pan in the Z anime. In the manga, she's never really seen very well. The only full body shot is from a distance, and there she looked a little smaller than Oolong. Her hair style also is typical for very young children.

It's only in GT where she outright looks older than Pan.

It's weird how they seem kinda resistant towards aging them. Toriyama never had a problem with aging characters before.

He only ever bothered with it when it would stretch plausibility too much for them not to have aged a bit, and even then the only ones who clearly change after every timeskip are the women. Goku's resistance to growing up is so egregious that Toriyama wound up trying to actually explain it in Jaco, which is probably what they're using as justification to avoid aging the kids now.

There's been no hide or hair of Bulla/Bra, weirdly. Either she's coming later or they're just going to ignore her.

Yeah it's strange. I guess maybe they don't want to lose the only little kids on the show? I just wish they'd make them look a little taller or more in line with their DBZ designs, the way they look in Super is even younger than before.

In the Z anime (not read the manga), she looked a bit older than Pan based on her Height. (pan's height in the Z epilogue looked like Marron's current height to me so I assumed her age in that was similar)

Guess I'll just put that down to Height in DB universe being weird. (Hell Goku looked small for his supposed age in the original DB, same with Krillin)

I guess we'll see how far they go towards the Z epilogue after Resurrection F arc. (ie Bulla being born, Trunks growing up to look like his 'future' self, etc)

That was a great episode.

There's gotta be something to it, especially with him signalling to Piccolo that the fight wasn't over yet - it definitely seems like he can follow it better than the rest (i.e., at all).

I imagine it'll be something like the God Ki flowing through him for just a tiny bit gave him some ability to perceive what's happening. Meanwhile Gohan, who hasn't kept up with his training, and Goten/Trunks, who are too young, don't realize or are incapable of realizing they can do it.

Either that or it's just Vegeta being stubborn.

I'm leaning toward stubbornness, myself.

I think they'll give the reason that it's Vegeta simply having an intrinsic connection and understanding of his rival. How else would he know the fight wasn't over? It's not like he can compare Goku's ki to Beerus'.

Also esp now that Goku's back to normal Ki, Vegeta might be the only one with peace of mind to realize Goku's way more powerful than he should be.

Oooh good point. Only thing that's still weird is how focused he was even during the rest of the battle when he shouldn't have been able to sense the ki.

Love this scene, especially with the music. It really (and probably deliberately) evokes a similar scene in the movie with the flashing auras:

Dragonball Super 13

Much better than last week but still fillery as all get out. One thing I will say is the the animation was pretty well-done this week.
